All-Sports Friday (Including Soccer Updates and CU/Toledo Live Thread)
So what's another post on Frontpage Friday? Lots of action today between the soccer team (on the road at Auburn) and the volleyball squad (on the road in a tournament in Michigan). How did they fare today? Let's take a look
{edit: I forgot CU was on the ESPN tonight taking on Toledo, so we will open this up to that as well}
Volleyball:
The squad bounced back from losing 2 of 3 out in Utah by sweeping two games earlier today. They started off by sweeping VCU 3-0 (25-14, 25-17 and 25-23). The Tigers were led by Paola Ampudia's 11 kills and hitting .500. Lei Wang had 36 assists while Caitlyn Vann had 10 digs. They turned around in the afternoon to take down Morehead State 3-1 (25-15, 23-25, 25-19 and 25-8). Julianna Klein had an enormous match with 16 kills (on .324 hitting) and 10 digs. Vann had a huge defensive effort with 17 digs while Wang had 37 assists. The team is now 6-2 and looking at Fairfield (should win) and #7 Michigan (not likely to win) tomorrow. With the exception of a game against UMKC, this will end the Tiger's OOC and a solid 7-3 record would be a good start before Big XII play.
Soccer:
The team is down at Auburn, and have scored early (Megan Pfeiffer in the 12th minute), leading the other Tigers 1-0 in the 20th minute. Mizzou has appeared to have controlled the action so far, leading in shots 7-4 and corners 4-0.

I got confirmation today that Erin Andrews
will be bringing her “fresh-baked-cookie” scent with her to cover the Nebraska game in CoMo.
I wonder if I can get another picture with her. . .

Wow.
The wife, kid and I were buying a car last night, so sadly I missed the stunning display of absentee defense by the buffs.
Hell, if Toledo could hang half a hundy on their defense, and considering what we’ve been doing to them lately, are they going to set a record for most points allowed this season?
And when does Hawk get fired?
Actually, scratch that. Let’s hope he sticks around a couple more years.
