I'll take it.

We didn't need that 25 ranking anyway :)

If we're 5-0 after we play Nebraska
No one will care that we had to come back to win this one.
If we’re not…. coming back to win this one will be the least of our worries.

Yeah, I was kinda being serious...
Rankings are only really meaningful in the tail end of the season when you’re jockeying for a BCS slot. Right now it’s only for ill-deserved bragging rights.

We won't be 5-0 if we play NU like
we played today. BG’s QB was NOT a good passer and yet, he SHOULD have been able to beat us. The receivers had us beat many, many times, but the poor throws made their open positions moot.

We won't lose it.
At least 3 Top 25 teams lost.
Who cares about rankings?
Let’s just beat Furman!

Plus, OSU's home loss to Houston
will make our struggle to win a lot less of a story.
by Andy--01 on Sep 12, 2009 9:44 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
So, if OU dropped to 13 from 3, wouldn't you think OSU drops
to at least 20? I mean, at least OU had an excuse in losing their QB.

Except for two drives the Defense has played well for the first two games
So maybe this year our less experienced Offense can lean on the D

Tonight, we saw two Blaine Gabberts.
We saw exactly how bad he can be — a rookie QB that makes bad reads, gets happy feet and tries to bail himself out with his rocket arm or good-not-great speed.
We also saw exactly how good he can be — a poised, relaxed QB that runs through his reads, steps up in the pocket and throws beautiful (no, gorgeous) touchdown passes with laser precision and exceptional zip.
It’s a win, guys. 2-0, move on, make Furman feel the pain next week.
Oh. And now introducing…

I didn't know if it was worth it to get this game
on ppv. I thought it may be like a Mike Tyson title fight where we’d come out and crush them. But, it was worth it. Big team building game. It can only make us stronger in the long run.
Yes, I'm still alive. Sorry to disappoint you.

I think it's always worth $30 to see your team
that’s still cheaper than a ticket and if you can’t make the game and can’t watch, you can DVR it!

tOSU up 5 with 10-ish minutes left
USC was held to a 3 & out (1 yard!!) and OSU was about 2 inches from blocking the ensuing punt. Not looking good for USC, shockingly.

at about the 15 yard line to win by 4, 41-37.

What the hell is it with late games??
I was 27-7 against the spread today until the late games, and now I’ve lost 6 of 8 again…looks like I’ll split the last two games (picked Oregon, who’s -12 and losing, and San Jose, who’s +13.5 and tied.
So if those results hold, I’ll be 30-14 ATS this week. YES.

BG QB Sheehan
Had about the deadest feet of any quarterback I’ve seen in a long time… and we still didn’t manage to put a lot of pressure on him… it was a little disconcerting. As a matter of fact, that and the way Geter ran on us were not ringing endorsements for our d-line. We breathe a sigh of relief and hope the lessons are learned moving forward.
Once my pants are on, I make gold records.

There were a couple of third downs...
…where we got no pressure whatsoever, and that was disconcerting, but it was only a couple of times. One of the main reasons we didn’t generate much pressure was that Sheehan was throwing the ball within about two seconds most of the time. He completed 29 passes for just 206 yards…dink, dunk, dink, dunk. Three passes over 15 yards all game. Hard to get pressure in those situations, but I can think of one third down conversion in particular where he had all day, and I would have hoped that we’d be a smidge more consistent at the rush than we are.

But, there were several passes he made (poorly)
where he had time. Too many. Thank God he sucks as a passer too. He missed wide open receivers at least 6 times. Not for big yards, but positive yards that could have hurt.
I’m actually surprised they didn’t rush more than they did. It was very effective against us.
