Dropped Out: Notre Dame (#14), Florida State (#25).
NOTES:
- Top six stay the same, although I contemplated pushing USC over Alabama into the 3 spot.
- I'll admit that I'm not liking what I have at 7-10.
- Spots 11-14 are my "best one-loss" tier. I think these four are really rearrangeable in any order.
- I didn't do it on purpose, but Thursday night's roller coaster game against Clemson drops Georgia Tech six spots. It was literally impossible to draw any conclusions from that game.
- Houston hops on that ballot at No. 21. Higher? Lower?
- Despite the competition, Nebraska has been the most impressive/consistent team in the North, so they get the nod at No. 22 for now. I really wrestled with not including Missouri.
- Part of me wanted to rank Michigan last week, but I couldn't pull the trigger. I feel confident in doing it now. Forcier makes them Big Ten contenders.
- Too harsh dropping Notre Dame off the ballot?

I think Houston is too high...
but that is a product of the fact I dont think anything should be ranked this early in the season :-)
Notre Dame off is fair to me. They will probably slide back on there over time as I dont believe their schedule is too tough.

Beef’s right – polls this early make no sense.
Given our partial data set, I’d leave Alabama ahead of USC for now. Hopefully, your heart is strong enough to stand that shock.
Houston and Georgia are too high. I don’t think I’d rank Georgia at all.

What does my abstinence accomplish?
The BlogPoll is used as a way to get people talking about the quality of teams. The poll doesn’t decide a title, so in what manner does early conversation hurt the process? Plus, this poll is generally far more responsive than any of the major polls, so preconceived notions are usually weeded out more effectively than in the AP or USAT polls.

but I do believe that polls that do matter being cast this early are irrelevent, but it does get people talking and there is definately something to be said for that.

It would make a statement that likely no one would pay attention to, which is why I gave you my two cents based on what we have seen so far.

Is there going to be a highlight video of Mizzou v. Bowling Green? I want to see Alexander’s run in the 4th quarter. If it creates half the reaction it did in the Student section yesterday, good help my neighbors. He ran like a man.

I am guessing he did not purchase the PPV, so I believe he will probably need to wait until the highlight show to make it. I would say just give it some time :-)

I will be posting the video in fanshots as soon as I am done uploading it to YouTube (more like ZouTube.. waaaa waaaaaaa).

I think Houston is too high
I wouldn’t have them ranked at all and would have kept Notre Dame in the poll.
I would have Houston in the others receiving votes category.
