Question for our StL folk

[Promoted for Front Page Friday!]

Heading into St. Louis for the baseball game tonight.  It's been a while since I've done such a thing, and didn't drive last time, so not sure where I should go to park.  Was thinking the Arch parking garage, but I reckon that fills up quickly.  Does anyone else have some ideas?  More concerned with the distance, not really the amount (if it's 20, it's 20).

my thought

We come in from interstate 70 and exit at broadway. We take that down to chestnut and turn right. We then go to the garage on the left (keiner plaza). It is 7 bucks. Easy in, about a 3 block walk to the stadium and it is pretty easy out

I think he means Pine not Chestnut

Chestnut is one way east and Pine is one way west. If you continue on past that first Kiener Plaza garage and cross 7th street there is a second Kiener Plaza garage (they are even connected by a walk-way) that is only $5. I have no idea why it is a different price. It was $7 last year but went back to $5 this year. Good luck and Go Cubs!!

On Chestnut

How far down? Is it right off of Broadway, or under the Adam’s Mark?

Metrolink it. Period.

Roundtrip ticket is $4.50. Station dumps you out across the street from Busch.

Which ever one is closest to where you're staying.

Airport has two Metrolink stations if you’re staying there.

I always parked at Hanley Road

when driving from Columbia for a game — it’s the first metrolink stop past the airport and was a free parking (haven’t done that since moving to Florida 4 years ago, so maybe that’s changed).

Where are you coming from?

It depends which highway your going into stl on. I take 55 N or 44 W to the Park Street/7th Street Exit. Turn right on Park and an immediate left on 7th. Park right off the highway on a nice lot on the left hand side of 7th Street. About 4-5 blocks from the stadium. It’s $5, or $4 for the lot before it, but it’s not nearly as nice (on a hill). If you go any further, the prices jack up to $10-25. Just remember, this is a Cubs series, so the prices will likely be higher everywhere… premium games.

I'm heading in from Columbia

I like the route that Beef gave, as it’s really right of the interstate, and I’ll be getting there pretty quick. I saved some cash on the tickets (someone elses, got below market), so I can splurge a bit on parking.

METROLINK

Park at giant metro-garage in Clayton and then take the train downtown.
