They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder,

but can some beauty be in the eye of the ball?

I say it can.

Don't settle for mediocrity.

Be better than the best.

Strive to become legendary,

at everything you do.

if you love art,

be better than Picasso, Michelangelo, and Da Vinci.

Music?

Put Michael Jackson, Beethoven and The Beatles to shame.

But not for fame, because true fame,

although sometimes is real, is often lame.

Tons of brilliant people die undiscovered,

but don't be brilliant and undiscovered by yourself.

Love lies within you.

I love basketball.

Like, I love it.

I want to be ten times better than Michael Jordan.

This isn't just talk, 

like my body is just consumed with being great,

and I feel millions of others can achieve greatness,

if that urge within them was just tickled.

More black men in jail than in college.

Ridiculous, but evident,

when I go home to Baltimore and see nothing changed,

but age, fashion, and me.

I think hustlers and dope boys coulda been businessmen and stock brokers.

Pounds of kush coulda been a late afternoon Wall Street Nasdaq push.

Killers aren't monsters, they were just pushed.

They're passionate, but exerted that passion the wrong way.

Just sittin' here listening to these words,

thinkin' about your one love,

whatever it may be.

Go for it.

Achieve it.

Do it.

Be it.

Live it.

Be absorbed in it.

Don't be afraid of the failure.

Don't even think about it.

Be yourself, be yourself.

Just be yourself and go do it.

Go be you and do what you love,

and the beauty in what you do will be evident to all.
