Great Meatloaf Recipe

This is a great meatloaf recipe to use if you want meatloaf but don't want to bake it or don't have a baking pan.  You use a cast iron skillet to cook the meatloaf on the top of the stove.  It makes a great meatloaf with a bit of a different flavor,

Great Meatloaf Ingredients

• 1 pound ground beef (80% lean or better)
• 1/2 cup white bread torn into very small pieces
• 1/2 cup yellow onion, finely chopped
• 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
• 1/4 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped
• 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/2 teaspoon thyme
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper
• 1 cup tomato sauce
• 1 tablespoon canola or vegetable oil

Great Meatloaf Directions

In a large mixing bowl, place ground beef, bread, Worcestershire, onion, celery, green bell pepper, garlic powder, thyme salt, pepper and 1/4 cup of the tomato sauce.  Mix thoroughly.

Place the oil in a large cast iron skillet that has a lid.  Heat the oil over medium heat and coat the bottom of the skillet with the oil before adding the meatloaf mixture to the skillet.  Use a spatula to evenly press the meatloaf into the skillet.

Cover and continue to cook over medium heat for 20 minutes or more until the meatloaf is thoroughly cooked.

Once finished cooking, turn the meatloaf onto a serving dish.  Return the skillet to the heat and add the remainder of the tomato sauce.  Bring to just simmering then pour over the great meatloaf!

Coaches poll is out

mizzou at 41 (3 votes). Like was said earlier (somewhere around here), I think the good guys need one win this weekend to get into the rankings.

only 92 votes from having 25th place

Can easily pick those votes up next week with strong performances against Tech and Oklahoma

I'm not much of a meatloaf guy

28th seems respectable enough for the team and record we’ve got. Just get some of those road wins and watch it rise… and then fall after the KU game… and so on!

this is is the thing that pisses me off

is that k-state only fell two spots. that’s cool with me and everything, because the voters are justifying it by the fact that k-state lost to a good team while on the road.

so, um, common sense would tell you to reward the good team. duh.

Well....

It seems like the pollsters are actually saying, “Kansas State lost to a team that is excellent at home, and they were underdog’s by four points so they were supposed to lose. Missouri, on the other hand, can’t play on the road so they shouldn’t be ranked.”

uhh yeah

the loss at oral roberts prevented us from cracking the top 25. but all we need to do is go in to norman and get the win(which is definitely no stroll in the park)
