Where are they now?
I made a comment earlier this week about former MU Women's hoopsters Karensa Barr and Evan Unrau who are currently coaching in Division 1. I figured I would check up on some former MU players from the last deacde and see what they're up to. Obviously, the most well known are the NBAers, Damarre Carroll, Kareem Rush and Keyon Dooling, but what about some of our other favorites?
Matt Lawrence - Rookie for the Tromso Storm in Tromso Norway. Team is in 3rd at 10-4 after 14 games, Matt leads in Minutes (31), 3pt made (55), 3pt % -more than 1 attempt (48.7%), Total Fieldgoals made (137), dunks(!?) (4) and points (24.6)
OR - 1.6
DR - 4.0
Reb - 5.6
S - 1.6
TO - 1.7
Asst 3.1
BCI - 2.76
Dunks - 4
In fact, the team website refers to the team as "Matt Lawrence & Co.", and he appears to lead the league in ppg (min 10 games).
Leo Lyons - Leo is a forward for Hapoel Jerusalem who won some sort of title with Leo this year (doesn't appear to be their league title, maybe a regional tourney title?).
In 9 games, Leo is averaging 18.3 minutes, 10.1 points, 4.8 R on a 63.5% real SP (62% from 2, 35% from 3, 87% FTs) and a BCI of 2. His best game by far, he put up 24 points 14 RB, 2S, 4A, 2TO and a block in 36 minutes in the 5th game of the Super League season. Not the best player on the team, but certainly an integral part and preforming quite well.
Damarre Carroll - Playing in the NBA for the Memphis Grizzlies
Jimmy McKinney - Made the news this last spring, when he got homesick and had a tryout with the Cardinals for a minor league contract arranged. Wanted to come back home to be closer to family. Starred in an independent film "Streetballers" released in August 2009.
Playing in the Bundeslige in Germany for the Deutsche Bank Skyliners of Frankfurt for 2009-10, his 3rd season for the club.
This season, Jimmy is averaging 2.9 pts in 12.2 minutes over 9 games.
Jason Conley - Starting for WBC Kraftwerk Wels in Austria-A Bundesliga. He has played in 4 teams in Europe (2 in Finland, 1 in Germany). In 13 games this season in league play, he is averaging 16.6 pts, 7.8Reb, 3.2Asst, 1.6 Steals in 27.4 min/game.
Linas Kleiza - Signed with Olympiacos Piraeus in Greece for a 2-year deal in August 2009 (no stats currently available on their website).
Josh Kroenke - Vice President of Team Development for the Denver Nuggets.

Travon Bryant - Signed in November with Panionios of the Greek A1 League. Last season he had 12.2 pts, 6.8 Reb, 1.2 Assists in 16 games with AEK Athens.
http://thehoop.blogspot.com/2009/11/panionios-announced-travon-bryant.html
He has bounced around Europe playing for quite a few teams including Deutche Bank Skyliners (Jimmy McKinney). Panionios' website doesn't appear to have an English version, so the only thing I could understand was this: http://www.panioniosbc.gr/index.asp?a_id=137
Thomas Gardner - played a 2 seasons in the NBA with Chicago and Atlanta, totaling 20 games (+3 Post-season games). Joined the Antwerp Giants in Belgium (where he began his pro career) about 2 weeks ago.
Arthur Johnson - last I could find, he was playing for Pepsi Caserta in 2007-2008, but I can't find anything more recent.
Rickey Paulding - Playing for EWE Baskets Oldenburg in the Bundesliga (same league as the DB Skyliners - Jimmy McKinney). In fact, he's the first thing you see on their website. This season, he's averaging 33.9 min, 2.8 Reb, a BCI of 2.5, 11 points/game on 45% real shooting pct. Other name of note on the team? Ruben Boumtje Boumtje.
Kareem Rush - Currently playing for the LA Clippers, but tore his ACL on 11/18/09
Keyon Dooling - Currently playing for the NJ Nets.
Clarence Gilbert - Was playing with Grupo Baloncesto Leon in Spain in 2008-09, and their Wikipedia page says he's still with the team for 2009-10. (Note: their Wiki page also lists Tate Decker as a "notable former player").
TJ Soyoye - In his medical residency at Mizzou.

Maybe they're taking his nickname too literally
3 pt shot = layup
pullup jumper = dunk?
