Finally, Big 12 Conference season has arrived and our Tigers take on the K-State Wildcats for our first conference matchup and it is at Mizzou Arena! We won, but not after MUCH hand-wringing. This particular series is as tight as you can get with Missouri now leading it 116-114.
By the way...Before this game, KSU claims it as 115-114 in THEIR favor. According to the newspaper, KSU records the 2-12-1913 win for them by the score of 26-25. Both schools have box scores to support their case...

The game was FAR from a classic, but the Tigers stepped up and won the game. My biggest concern now is our Free Throw Shooting. That game would not have been as close if we had shot from the charity stripe better! The refereeing in this game was VERY hit and miss...(I'm being nice).

Wow!. 23 straight losses at one point.
So minus the late 50’s and early 60’s, we’ve handled them pretty well.
The most counter-intuitive part to me...
…is that we actually won five of six in Manhattan after the 111-56 debacle in 1998…that loss was apparently so scarring that I consistently feared going to Manhattan and completely blocked out the wins…
