ESPN Producer on Twitter: "GameDay is coming to Mizzou"
If ESPN SportsCenter Coordinating Producer Brett Austin is to be trusted, Missouri fans can stop looking for white smoke from the Vatican Bristol. Gameday may be coming to yo' cit-ay, Columbia.
(We should note: Missouri has not confirmed yet, as pointed out by Dave Matter. Still awaiting word from either MU or ESPN.)
UPDATE: ESPN's David Ubben confirms. Still nothing from MU.
UPDATE AGAIN: Our friends from @mutigersdotcom retweet us. It's official, folks.

Awesome
For a program that has gone through as hell as Mizzou has, something like this is just a terrific topper for a perfect college football weekend. The last time I had this much fun watching football, Todd became Sodd.
Respect and honor your opponent, unless that opponent is a fictional bird. In which case you hit him until he falls, kick him until dead and burn the remains.

tiny fists of fury.
My, oh my, you sure know how to arrange things.
You set it up so well, so carefully.
Ain't it funny how your new life didn't change things.
You're still the same old girl you used to be.

I'm so proud of this team
I hope they don’t lay an egg this week, but I suspect the game will be competitive. It would be really nice to pick up a win if only to temporarily slow down the “Starting Next Year The Big XII Champion Will Be the Winner of the Red River Rivalry” talk.
Well a certain member...
Of the 8000/4000 club has a bye week in the NFL that week….
Annoying You Since 1986
I think Brad is one of the people most responsible for where the program is today.
So I would love for him to get to do it.
Annoying You Since 1986
Actually, I wouldn’t be surprised if they brought Sheryl Crow.
Im now scared of the third peroid...thanks Blues.

If I had to guess.
I think the top 3 most likely would be Sheryl Crow, Jon Hamm, and Norm Stewart.
Annoying You Since 1986
Stormin Norm? Intrestin, never thought about that.

Hamm and Norm...
… HAVE to be the clubhouse leaders, no?

FYI
if I read Crow’s website, she’s in Europe right now, and has a show in Denmark on the 23rd. Pitt (if I remember correctly) is also in Europe shooting a movie…in Italy, I think.
I’d give Brad the nod, but don’t count out John Anderson from rolling in (which he may anyways). The Mizzou sidelines could have a few celebs that night.

I'd be surprised...
… if ESPN wanted a non-analyst from its network showing his colors in picking games and devaluing his neutrality on the SC broadcasts.

Does he hold weight with ESPN?
Or was he too much of a quiet leader?

Can you imagine downtown Saturday morning
if they do this on the Quad?
Cleanup from the night before + Parade + Gameday = madhouse.
I can imagine...
… some people going straight from Downtown “festivities” Friday night to Gameday on Saturday morning.
