So Mizzou and Oklahoma are undefeated and going to play this Saturday night at 7 under the lights in what I can only imagine will be 40-50 degree weather. Prior to that we get Gameday starting at 8 on the Francis quad with the Columns and Jesse as the backdrop. They also do a Friday Gameday in the afternoon, I believe from 12-2. To accommodate gameday as well as something called "homecoming", all tailgate lots will open at 7 a.m. on Saturday.
For gameday, they always have a guest (pseudo-celebrity) picker with some affiliation to the host school. Who do you think it will be? Sheryl Crow (terrible), Jon Hamm (would be sweet), or a certain NFL player who will be on a bye, B. Smith. Personally I'd love Smith, but Hamm would be cool (and also salty).
Also, decisions need to be made whether to go see part/all/none of the show. Starts at 8, when Erin Andrews hosts on ESPNU, until 9, when Fowler takes over till 11, when Corso puts the wagon on his head. I'm in between a)This might be a once in a lifetime thing to see, and need to support the University, and we have 12 hours to tailgate or b) It'll be a zoo and it's not exactly right next to the tailgate (reactor small lot), which we need to reserve early and can't take cars out once we park.
I hope that some of you who have done your obligatory one tailgate stint will consider coming in for the day to have a little more fun, cause we need to enjoy the program at its current state, cause who knows how long it will last or when it will come again.
First fan-post. Thanks.
