If you’re reading this thread, you’re probably not at the game….but we’ve all been there.
Close your eyes and imagine the probably dozens of times you’ve walked through the parking lots before game time…smelling the BBQ of the hundreds of tailgates, hearing Mike and John do their pregame show from nearly every parked car and even some that aren’t…
Remember that feeling that you get…that little pit in your stomach of excitement as you lay your eyes on the field…the scoreboard…the Rock M…the ROTC and their cannon….and when you get to your seat where you’re going to stand, seeing the pure chaos as the team runs onto the field, the old BoCoMo firetruck blaring it’s siren as it makes it’s lap around Faurot Field and going deaf hearing Enter Sandman….
I live in San Diego…we have SDSU who puts 20k in an 80k seat stadium and a FCS team who declines all post season chances…you forget how good you have it when you’re a local in Columbia.
Damn, I miss Columbia sometimes…..

I think we’ll find out exactly how good of a team we are tonight. I think over the last two games Nebraska got exposed as having a good (not great) offense, and a mediocre (not great) defense. Let’s hope that these next two games show us that our team is for real.

but I saw a breakdown of OU’s production by quarter and the 1st was by far their best. Their offensive style has consequences. Hopefully it plays out that way tonight!

secondary has been good overall, and the D has forced enough negative plays to get OU behind the chains on some drives.

After 2 quarters
D still leaving something to be desired, the Hamilton injury makes us easier to exploit.
Offense is holding their own, not exceeding expectations but doing enough to leave lots of options on the table for the next half.
It’s clear we need to keep a lead in turnover ratio, especially when the ball gets into our territory.
We can do this- OU has a lot more to lose than we do! No reason to come out playing uptight. Our lead only means we don’t have to mount a comeback.
I expect them to come out firing on all cylinders
