Somehow or another, I've been doing my scouting and tailgating planning, thinking that these two things occurred on different weekends. I'm obviously not going to neglect my tickets and skip out on the game, but damn, this makes me unhappy.
It just clicked in my head that the K-State game is scheduled at an EARLY time on the same day that Missouri's Firearms Deer season opens.
Deer hunting is a big deal in this state. Does anybody else have this same conflict of interest? Although this may not matter to KC/STL fans that commute to the game, much of Missouri is pretty rural...and people from rural areas deer hunt.
I'm going to look like a jackass wearing blaze orange to the blackout game.
