Georgetown, which plays Mizzou on November 30, will face us without freshman center Moses Ayegba. As reported several places (e.g. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/11/12/AR2010111202788.html), Ayegba has been suspended for the first nine games of the season for accepting a plane ticket to the U.S. from someone outside his immediate family.
It's unclear how big an impact Ayegba would have had on our game with the Hoyas. He was projected to compete for backup minutes at center. He's listed at 6'9", 250, so at the very least it would seem Georgetown will be able to throw one less big body at the likes of Ratliffe and Moore. And his stats from high school last year, when he averaged 15 points, 16 rebounds, and 12 blocks, suggest they'll miss his interior defense, if nothing else. Hopefully this means one less sub when the rest of the Hoyas are exhausted, and more room underneath for us to get points and rebounds.
Also, if there's any way Daniel Thomas could be declared ineligible, even for the next ONE game, that'd be great.
