I don't know if any of you have been following this little series Kansas has been making about their football season, but as pathetic as this sounds, it's kept me coming back.
Not only is this series very well produced, but it gives you an insight as to what's going on behind the curtains over there in Lawrence. As awful as this football season has been for the Jayhawks, it's been very interesting to follow their season and get a feel for what our rival truly is this year. (By the way, I wouldn't mind if someone from our fine institution took it upon themselves to do something like this as well) As a fan of the Mizzou Tigers, I read everything available to me about every aspect of Tiger football and basketball, but I also find it important to myself to know about my rivals too, as that just adds another fun dimension to my fandom.
Anyway here's what I'm asking you guys. First, do you all find it fun/important to keep up with the rivals of your favorite teams, or do you take a more player/business-like approach in ignoring the guy across from you and focusing on what your team is doing? And do you think productions like this are good for a struggling program? Personally, I like Gill as a person. I'm still on the fence about his coaching abilities, as he doesn't have a lot of talent to work with. Do you think this series will help Jayhawk fans stick it out with Gill until he fields a competitive team, or is this a pointless bit of entertainment to eat up 13 minutes of your day?
