They maximize their talent and create breaks for themselves. Every single team they beat puts the blame on themselves not realizing that ISU leverages you into playing your B or C game, especially in Ames.

Even with Martinez back they appear capable of giving the nubs a run. Let’s hope so because it would take a monumental upset for ku or CU to beat them. Though if one of those two did manage to knock them out of the top of the north that would be pretty damn sweet.

I really like the offensive gameplan in the first quarter.
Come out with a run-first philosophy, hopefully it’s going to open up the pass later. I hope the defense can make this stop here on 3rd and 6. Could be a big point in this game.

That offensive pass interference call is perhaps the worst call I've ever seen.
Upon replay, it is revealed that Jerrell Jackson did not lay a hand upon the defender. The defender overran the route, and apparently that is a penalty. Even worse than the roughing call earlier in the game.

i realize he doesn’t have DA this year, but he’s just not a threat to complete the deep ball this year.
That's the one area where he hasn't improved.

i think he’s regressed as a passer. he’s making better decisions, not getting happy feet as much, but he’s just inconsistent as a passer.
the accuracy look better because of how often we throw the ball underneath, but he runs really hot and cold throwing downfield.
