Morning All
Great game last night, thought I had to keep reminding myself we were winning.
I’m going to the in-laws this morning, in the land of no high-speed internet (yeah, I know)…so I’ll be off the grid until after x-mas. So, everyone have a good holiday, and beat Illinois!
Finds MvP RoC to be a stellar individual
Dang.
I’m ending up in the same situation today too, in about 5 hours. Though interwebs via satellite isn’t too bad (ie SCREW COMCAST) it isn’t that fast.

Help
So I couldn’t watch the game last night and the box score this morning left me very confused. Someone who saw the game has got to help me understand how Missouri’s VISiTING less athletic opponent got half as many fouls called on them. Bad officials or last footwork? Also how did a guy that was averaging 6 rebounds a game get 17 against Moore, Ratliffe, and Bowers?
1). The officiating crew was unbelievably awful.
2) we played a lot of zone and we don’t do a good job boxing out in that defensive set.

they were bad
I was specifically annoyed with the intentional foul due to the elbow via replay (bad call, whether it was to our advantage or not), and then the immediate make up call. Seems like they got caught in the ‘well, we called a ticky-tack foul on one side, need to make up for it by calling a questionable one on the other side’ game waaay too much.
I don’t think it was a B12 crew, but it wasn’t a bunch of nobodies, the announcers were familiar with some of the refs.
Btw, did anybody else think the SEC crew for the Vandy game was a bit off, too, or am I becoming NU fan-like and losing my perspective on officiating? I honestly thought the favored (not conciously, I’m sure) their conf. team (Vandy). Could be different emphasis on what they call in the SEC, I suppose, and we just did more ‘bad’ things….
Last night was
Kelly Self, Rick Hartzell, Terry Oglesby. I believe they are all Big XII officials, but haven’t officiated a game together against MU over the past few years.
Justin Smith Ejection
I just saw a replay…referee is a complete baby…if you know that a flag in that situation results in an automatic ejection don’t throw the flag….what a jackass
Good To See
That we beat Oral Roberts last night. Good as a Missouri fan for revenge for last year, and good as a Valpo grad who hates everything associated with Oral Robberts.
I hope the they were as nasty to the Oral Roberts people last night as we used to be. I mean, we would hoot and hollar when a basket ball player would say something to one of the cheerleaders, because thats not allowed at Oral Roberts. https://webapps.oru.edu/slle/code-of-honor-pledge.pdf
Oral Roberts: The least fun college of all time!
Yuck.
I have a feeling that there is an MU student or two that wouldn’t fit in at Moral Roberts.
Now, please excuse me as I partake in this chunk of Beechnut and spit into one of the empty beer cans rattling around the apartment.
Ratliffe can pass
I think there is no disagreement that Ratliffe is at advertised. It seems to me that he is developing a good rapport with Bowers. It looks like he is fitting really nicely into the CMA system. Now, if only he could ditch the no-look shot …
