English in foul trouble, Denmon with no shooting range, Vanderbilt with single-digit turnovers ... Mizzou up 3 = good, right? All hail Mike Dixon...

Prediction:
As long as Bowers stays out of foul trouble in the second half, Mizzou wins.

Defending screen roll
when the opposing big sets the screen out front, Ratliffe isn’t hedging on his guy. He’s getting caught in no man’s land, which wouldn’t be so bad except that when the guard puts it on the floor Ratliffe is screening the guard. He’s escorting the guard into the lane.

For better or worse, this team is very clearly a work in progress, and this won’t be the same team we see two months from now. I don’t necessarily mean that as a 100% good thing (it could get worse), but I’m only half worked-up right now because of that. A win doesn’t save the season, and a loss doesn’t kill it.

Forgive me if I'm being overtly dorky
But I heard that phrase about 10 million times playing dragon age origins.

This is officially Denmon's Team

It seemed unlikely I would ever hear a commentator say “Marcus Denmon is the heart of the team”

So Mike Anderson does not play in the foul camp.
One time, it failed miserably. Another it worked.

If I get you the trifecta score sheet at 8 am is that early enough for you to include the scoring in your study hall?

Announcer just made point I was going to make.
Tinsley missed a 3 at end of reg to win it, and a 3 at end of OT to tie. Both were on line, but long.

i love the fact that every tiger on the court was guarding the perimeter on that last possession
and clogged the middle as soon as the ball handler crossed midcourt. Might have been the smartest thing Mizzou did all night.
WHEW!!!

As an aside:
I will now no longer bitch about our loss.

Well. I need to be at work at 7

Clutch performance by Denmon, especially considering the circumstances with his cousin.
Right on par with what Zaire Taylor did against Iowa State last year. He put the team on his back for the final 25 minutes.
Vanderbilt is a good team, this is a good win.

typical three point win, right?
mizzou opened up a big lead and vandy got close but mizzou put them away in the end, right? no harm, no foul?

Celebration drink, and then watch last night's Pysch. Night everybody!
GO TIGERS!!!!
Even in Mexico....kU SUCKS!
So the ESPN play-by-play
of this game is hilarious. It has us winning 76-70 going into OT and the final as 89-80. check it out
I love it when box scores mess up.
Earlier this year against Miami (OH) the yahoo box score said that Tim Barnes had a 99-yard kickoff return (but not for a TD), and also he kicked two extra points.
ESPN seems pretty unreliable. I’ve looked at their game tracker for football games before where it reports the history of drives in ways that are just impossibly bizarre. Drives coming from nowhere, going to nowhere, blah blah.
Pretty sure it's not ESPN, but the service ESPN subscribes to...
…I think SI uses it too. Some pretty ridiculous stuff in there, which is why I wait till the official box score to do anything, um, official.
Pretty sure ESPN
uses STATS Inc.

This season is going to be a dissapointment
If Anderson can’t swallow his pride a play a zone. This team can stop no one at the rim, driving or open threes. They can get some steals but the zone at least stops the wide open layups and gets some bodies in the lane to board.
It also leaves a lot of open 3s
Anyway, I don;t ge the hostility… Anderson played a fair amount of zone against Georgetown.
If by “win” you mean, “scored more points than Vandy” then yes, yes they did.
If you mean “were generally awesome,” then yes, absolutely.
If you mean “win at life” then the answer is absotively, posolutely.
If you mean “run a zone defense, make all their shots, and block out all the 3’s”… then hey, 3 out of 4 ain’t bad.
