Teams on the baselines for starting lineups
Truman the Tiger throws out the first pitch of the game….
Top of the 1st:
Cristin Anderson strikes out looking
Stefanie Carramusa grounds to 2nd for the easy 4-3 out. 2 out.
Katie Gilmore hits a liner into shallow right for a base hit….
Shaunte Duarte strikes out swining…
0-0
Not that it matters
But it was actually TJ the Tiger, the Children’s Hospital mascot ;)
That makes more sense
and as you say that, I see TJ a little closer to the camera and I see the difference.
Starting lineup for the Tigers:
1. Rhea Taylor
2. Marla Schweisberger
3. Nichole Hudson
4. Ashley Fleming
5. Lindsey Muller
6. Jenna Marston
7. Megan Christopher
8. Catherine Lee
9. Gina Schneider
Nichole Hudson hits a blooper to 2nd base...
1st time Mizzou has gone down 1-2-3 at home this year..
Garcia grounds out to 2nd base
Brandwo strikes out looking
Kalapsa up 3-0 in the count….3-1…foul ball, 3-2….and grounds out to 3rd…
0-0 Middle 2nd…
I was going to up and watch some of the game...
and it starts raining…damn.

That baby Tiger logo...
Still one of the best of all time.
"Sometimes when Will Ebner tackles people, I think they are going to explode on impact."
Talking about the one for the childrens hospital.
"Sometimes when Will Ebner tackles people, I think they are going to explode on impact."
Due up for the Tigers:
Lee, Schneider and Taylor all go down 1-2-3….to the 4th inning…
And yeah, there’s rain splattered on the press box glass….dunno how hard it’s raining. 71 and sunny here in San Diego.
I quit paying attention to New Mexico names
The next batter is walked on 4 pitches…
bases loaded, 2 out…
The next batter grounds to 3rd
Nichole Hudson easily handles the ground ball and steps on 3rd to end the half of the inning
Sounds like we are having tough time with an 8-10 team.
Annoying You Since 1986
They're 8-11 now
After the loss to Illinois earlier….But you’re right…struggling with a team who’s only MAJOR opponents so far are Oklahoma State (L 2-1 (9)) and Baylor, where they lost all 4 games and were run ruled in 2 of them…
Due up for the Tigers:
2. Marla Schweisberger (0-1, K)
3. Nichole Hudson (0-1)
4. Ashley Fleming (0-1)
Marla hits a dribbler in front of the plate
and is able to leg out the single…first hit of the game for the Tigers…
and the ground crew
drops some fresh dirt in the base path between 1st and 2nd after the error on the 2nd baseman….
(during Muller at-bat)
Fleming steals 2nd with no throw from the catcher. Umpire standing by 2nd falls down in the mud and gets up laughing about it…
2nd and 3rd, 1 out…
If you've never watched a game on All-Access
There’s only one camera and it’s stationary in the press box, offering a wide angle look at most of the field. The Lady Tigers (in the 1st base dugout) all took off running to left field…assuming they’re rolling the tarp out….
Just for a little mental masturbation...
I didn’t see anything about this weekends tournament being moved into Devine Pavillion in inclement weather. If they do that, would they finish the New Mexico game indoors, in a completly different environment than the first 4 innings…or would they go ahead and play the Bradley game indoors and if the weather clears up, finish the New Mexico game outdoors?
The tarp is off and they are working on the field
Should be about 30-45 more minutes of that, and they’ll finish this game outdoors, but move the rest of the games inside tonight.
I don't think you are
you posted that about 5 seconds after I heard the same thing….made me wonder if you weren’t who told me that in the first place….but I digress…I don’t think you’re who I thought you were….and I’m letting you off the hook…
I guess with little else to do in the rain delay, we can look at some numbers:
Missouri hitting has been horrible:
14 AB, 1 H, 3 K….but they also have 3 stolen bases, which is about the only offensive bright spot so far….
Nottelmann’s numbers are pretty respectable:
4IP, 16 Batters Faced, 2 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 3 K
Not sure how this rain delay will affect her, but I would imagine it’s time for some Janie Wholestaff for the rest of the day, which following the New Mexico game, will be inside Devine Pavillion. No idea on if there will be a video feed of that or not.
Updated schedule for the day
Mizzou/Bradley will NOT be played. Makeup TBD
SDSU/Bradley played next
SDSU/Illinois after that (assuming they can even get that one in)
Sounds like none of the other teams wanted to play indoors
Which is required. Both teams have to agree.
still 0-0?
The sleeper has awoken. . .awakened. . .he woke up.

aw crap, I gotta bail....
I’ll be back to update the thread later on….I was really hoping to watch the Illinois/SDSU game too……
2-0 now
Bottom of the 6th, two outs, runner on the 2nd for the Tigers.
I show that as the final score
2-0 Mizzou

Today's schedule
1:00 p.m. – Illinois/Bradley
3:00 p.m. – Mizzou/SDSU
5:00 p.m. – Illinois State/New Mexico
Here's the schedule for Sunday:
9 a.m. CT – Illinois vs. San Diego State
11 a.m. CT – San Diego State vs. Missouri
1 p.m. CT – Illinois State vs. Missouri
3 p.m. CT – Bradley vs. New Mexico
I show SDSU on top of Illinois 5-3 in the 5th inning
meanwhile, the AD tweeted that the SDSU/Missouri game was going to start in 20-30 minutes…then about 20 minutes later said the game has been cancelled.
Missouri to take on Illinois State at 1? They’re trying to, stay tuned.
Mizzou and Bradley now have a game scheduled for 5:00 today
Weather permitting
yeah, I'm really disappointed in this weekend
not just the weather, but the fact that we have a team at #21/#25 and another that received votes….and we have to play Bradley twice? Ugh….
We didnt play Bradley yet
That got rained out on Friday
I'm not going to mess with learning opponents names
1st batter strikes out swinging
2nd batter strikes out looking
3rd batter hits a grounder up the middle for a single
Middle of the 1st...0-0
Batting order for the Tigers:
1. Jenna Marston
2. Marla Schweisberger
3. Nichole Hudson
4. Catherine Lee
5. Ashley Fleming
6. Michaele Vock
7. Shana White
8. Megan Christopher
9. Abby Vock
Yep, looking good
ISU can’t catch up on her heat and they can’t pull the trigger on her change. It’s a shame that one grounder squeaked through the infield.
Chelsea is really good
about working the corners early on to expand the strike zone in later innings
Top of the 2nd...0-0
1st batter strikes out swinging
2nd batter strikes out swinging
3rd batter strikes out looking
8 batters faced, 1 hit, 1 walk and 6 strikeouts for Chelsea Thomas
To the bottom of the 2nd....0-0
Due up for the Tigers:
4. Catherine Lee
5. Ashley Fleming
6. Michaele Vock
Michaele Vock hits a liner to the 2nd baseman
who makes the catch and steps on 2nd for the DP.
Shana White comes to bat and on the first pitch Fleming is caught stealing….3 gone…
And then the inning goes to crap
Line into a DP and then a weird delayed steal that did not work even a little bit.
Looks like Fleming came up lame actually
Simmons in RF now
Top of the 3rd...
1st batter strikes out swinging
2nd batter hits a soft ball back up the middle..Thomas doesn’t get it and the batter legs out the single.
3rd batter strikes out…throw to 1st gets the 3rd out
STRIKE EM OUT, THROW EM OUT….
The Thomas K count is up to 8 after 3 innings pitched….
Chelsea gets two more K's
last out recorded on a great snap throw behind the runner for a pickoff for strikeout and a 2-3 pickoff double play to end the inning.
pretty sure the ump called an illegal pitch or something
so Christopher was back up, then grounded out 5-3
1-0 Illinois State
some girl just murdered the ball
Jenna Marston just smokes the ball
Might be the best pure hitter on the team. The girl just rips line drives all over the field.
Cat Lee rips her first HR as a Tiger
2-1 Mizzou
I stepped away and missed the 5th...
Illinois State hits a deep ball that leads to a double…Chelsea walks the next batter…
1st and 2nd, 2 out…
Still 3-1 in the top of the 7th....
Bradley team bus just pulled up to University Stadium…guess they’ll go through with the next game.
Mizzou just about to wrap up another win here
Up 9-0 on Bradley, as the Tigers have 3 hr’s on the day (including Rhea Taylor going inside-the-park) Nottelmann goes 4 with 2 hits and 2 K’s and Hainey is on in the 5th and is one out away from the 5 inning win.

An error by Ortega at 3rd base extends the action
Bradley with a runner on 2nd and 2 out needing 2 runs to keep the action going.

Bradley plates one of another error by Ortega at third
runner still on 2nd…tough few at-bats here against the freshman at 3rd base seeing a little playing time.

Flyout to left field ends it
Mizzou with a 9-1 5 inning win to cap a rain-shortened weekend 3-0.
Tough to not see Illinois and SDSU in action, but Mizzou did what they needed to do as they were able to do it between the rain drops. The winning streak now sits at 14 and the overall record at 16-2.
Twin bill at home against Wichita State during the week before another full (scheduled) weekend of games, including a top matchup against Northwestern.
