Kansas with 5 turnovers in six possessions...

And Knight says “Kansas is just doing some things they shouldn’’t be doing”

Really Bob? Thanks for the great analysis. Can’t believe some of you guys like him.

This is way KU won't win the national championship this year...

They are making way too many mistakes as of late. Sloppy play against mid level Big 12 teams they can get by but when they start going against mid level Big East teams and the upper tier teams from other conferences they can’t survive. KU is lucky they aren’t down by 14 right now after 6 turnovers in the first five minutes.

Every True Son

Is a fight song for Mizzou:
Every True Son
(To the tune of Long Way to Tipperary)
Every true son, so happy hearted
Skies above us are blue.
There’s a spirit so deep within us
Old Missouri, here’s to you! (Rah! Rah!)
When the band plays the Tiger war song
And when the fray is through
We will tramp, tramp, tramp around the columns
With a cheer for old Mizzou!

i wouldn't be surprised to see baylor in the elite 8.

the b12 has the best coaches in the nation, imo. cma, self (ugh), turgeon, drew, martin, ford. all these guys have done an excellent job building solid programs after limited success previous to when they got to their respective schools. save self and turgeon. although turgeon has elevated (imo) to what gillispie even had done. what drew has done in waco is nothing short of miraculous.

Agreed

They played at Mizzou, K State, Ok St, Ariz St, Colorado, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Michigan, and UTEP and never lost by more than 20. Thats pretty impressive for a team people think to be a 16 seed.

Annoying You Since 1986

by MUTIGERS86 on Mar 12, 2010 10:58 PM CST reply actions

Dukes just 1-3 vs RPI top 25...

I expect better than that from a 1 seed. OSU and WVU both have 4 wins.

But looking at the numbers I just dont see it.

Annoying You Since 1986

by MUTIGERS86 on Mar 12, 2010 11:03 PM CST up reply actions

If you add Ken Pomeroy to the mix...

…then both Duke and tOSU have four wins over the top 25, WVU has 5. The Buckeyes have a couple of shaky losses (UNC, Michigan) and Duke only has one (N.C. State) … while WVU has none. When doing my Rock-M-tology posts, I’ve had WVU a one-seed for almost the past month, but I’ve bumped them down because I knew the committee wouldn’t feel the same way. I REALLY like WVU … but I think Duke gets the last 1-seed if they win the ACC … maybe even if they just make the finals.

Actually, no … if they don’t win, that means they lost to either Georgia Tech, Miami or NC State … that might open the door for somebody else.

by Bill C. on Mar 12, 2010 11:10 PM CST up reply actions

IF OSU, Duke, and WVU win their tourneys

Then I’m betting it’ll be Duke and OSU with the #1 seeds with KU and ’Cuse.

Two #1 seeds from the Big East ain’t happenin.

by KCTiger on Mar 12, 2010 11:04 PM CST reply actions

I just can’t see K State getting it. Obviously they are a for sure #2, but the loss to Iowa State, Mizzou, OSU and Ole Miss hurt them too much compared to WVU and OSU.
