We pardon the interruption to your regularly scheduled postseason basketball talk to thank God for We Are Mizzou.
And, I'll say this: I LOVE have the 1's facing each other more frequently, as opposed to Pinkel's previous preference for 1's vs. 2's in most practices.

By the way...
Immediate thoughts:
- It speaks to Woodland’s speed that he ran away from Munir Prince
- Franklin’s got Daniel’s feathery release. T-Gabb has the more explosive release, like his brother.
- Kendial Lawrence weirds me out with a single digit number.
- Decent looking spin move off the end from Brad Madison at 1:11
- LDW needs to be eating like 13 meals a day at this point.
- Dave Matter and Pete at PM were absolutely right. That corner blitz was gorgeous.
- There’s one player pretty much sealing his place on the preseason “My Guys” list. I’ll wait until August for that to become official, however.
All in. Sell out.
I feel like Kendial should be Number $Texas.

One area...
…that I would like to see the team improve on this season is in disguising the running plays. Last season I noticed an annoying tendency to telegraph when a running play was coming, even when they tried to disguise it. Part of it, I think, is Gabbert’s technique. He just doesn’t do a good job of selling the handoff during fakes and thus the defense never seemed to bite on them. The Navy game was the worst example of this. There were times that Gabbert might as well have been wearing a neon sign that read “This is a running play”. Part of it is also the way they set up running plays. Specifically, a lot of their runs or fake runs involve the running back going into motion towards the qb. This wouldn’t be so bad if Gabbert could sell the handoff, but as it is it’s pretty easy to guess when Mizzou is going to run the ball. I think they could fix this pretty easily with a few tweaks of their running play schemes and maybe by enrolling Gabbert in an acting class.
