It's true, unfortunately.
Kind of annoying but you can’t blame CBS for wanting to make more money off of one of the most-watched sporting tournaments in the country, probably second behind the Super Bowl.

Q. Darryl, can you talk a little — they’re a pressing team, they’re a frenetic team. How prepared are you guys for this? From what I gather earlier in the season you saw something like that from Cleveland State. You guys have been working on it ever since; is that correct?
DARRYL BRYANT: We played against Louisville. A pressing team. It’s the same thing. I have to take care of the ball, me and Da’Sean and Devin. That’s who is taking care of the ball. We have to try to play a half-court game and try to slow the game down.

It's a true press but they don't seem to create chaos like we have a tendency to do

I think part of that chaos comes from our continued hunger to steal the ball even after
the other team can bring the ball into the frontcourt. We have extremely active hands, much more active than other pressing teams. Basically, our system extends further than just pressing in the backcourt.

The point that they miss...
…and I hope they CONTINUE to miss…is that Mizzou’s style isn’t simply a press. That’s only part of it.

Honestly, I don't know if kU has been just lazy recently or soemthing..
..but they just havent looked sharp in the tourney so far. and i dont see them winning 5 more games.

I think there is no doubt that Cal and Washington were underseeded.
But I think the Pac-10 as a whole is pretty much a mid-major (but not at a real low level) because there isn’t much depth.

..after the rash of upsets of kU in the tourney, that they are hurt by the big 12 refs. all big 12 play they get everything called. then a team comes into the tourney and plays physical and bullies them around – and they wait for whistles. I can kind of see this a bit here? (not nearly as bad as in the past thoo)

CBS clearly has an interest in having the lower-seed win, as it drives up viewer interest, and this is influencing the calls of the officials.

Missouri – Rebuilding Year
Kansas – Preseason #1, #1 throughout season, #1 overall seed, 2-1 chance of winning national title
