Around SBN: Bill Stewart Dead From Apparent Heart Attack

@Englishscope24 finally got that horse u been wantin

Michael Anderson Jr. to Kimmeh on Twitter. Adding to this the recent positive updating of Phil Pressey's Facebook page, and it appears that social media is telling us that both Matt Pressey and Ricardo Ratliffe have committed. Now we sit back and wait for PowerMizzou to confirm.

I was wondering if I was a crazy person for inferring that too

Thank you, Rock M Nation, for preserving my sanity.

Paul's facebook status says, in the classiest way...

…yes, he’s gone. (Got this from PowerMizzou)

I love the mizzou fans, my fans and the team. God knows they are like my brothers but its time for me to move on for a better opportunity for my family and I. I wouldn’t trade these last two years for nothing. Good luck Mizzou. I WILL ALWAYS BE A TIGER even when i am gone. (MIZ-ZOU)

i hope that he gets ample playing time at a somewhat smaller scale program.

Beautiful.

SO glad there aren’t burnt bridges here. Nothing makes me angrier than seeing fans lash out at a kid looking for a better opportunity.

Found a different non-Mizzou affiliated tweet that is intersting:

Twitter is unanimous, and now Facebook agrees...

Navarro Junior College guard Matt Pressey announced via his Facebook page that “I am a MIZZOU TIGER.”

Shortly thereafter, Ricardo Ratliffe posted this message on his page: “Sorry Alabama, Cincinnati, Arkansas, and Clemson, but I will be attending University of Missouri!!!!”

This team is definitely final 4 bound now. I will miss MP3 and I hope he gets a shot elsewhere. Ratliffe, Bowers, Safford, and Moore in the post = SICK! :) We’ll finally have a front court that can compliment our amazing backcourt.

Ratliffe, Pressey to Mizzou, Bzdelik to Wake Forest

I almost feel bad for Colorado, Iowa State and Nebraska. There is a widening, canyon-sized chasm opening up between the top three and bottom three teams in the North.

by Michael Atchison on Apr 11, 2010 3:54 PM CDT reply actions

Actually...and this surprises me to say this, I think CU is sitting the best of the 3

I think NU has the most returning in terms of numbers, but I think their coach is not right for them. ISU is in all sorts of trouble from a numbers and coaching standpoint. CU may have the most talent, and if they can get the right person in there, they may have a shot to at least pass the other two….and OU :-)

Definitely three-peat National Champions now!!

I already made room on my wall for all three pictures of the NC trophy, with a little room for the piece of cut net I get from each game.

Seriously though, great day for HCMA and his program.

Quick question: I saw on some twitters

do these guys have to sit out a year or can play in the 2010-2011 season?

JUCO's can go immediately

Stone and Paul would have to sit out unless they went down to D-II I believe.

Thoughts...

Should Kimmeh take over Zai as… “Always Be Closing” – With his Mariano comments…
And… What are people thinking about Ratliffe and his comment, something along the line of, “I only wanna play one year and then go pro”

"To the ten, to the five, to the HOUSE! Touchdown Tigers!"

by Th3Carter3 on Apr 11, 2010 4:32 PM CDT reply actions

99% Ratliffe plays 2 years a Mizzou

However if Ratliffe is good enough to go pro after next year, that would mean that he had a monster season for us. And a monster season from Ratliffe down low, with our guards would mean very good things for Mizzou next year.

by thoran85 on Apr 11, 2010 4:50 PM CDT up reply actions

Nature of the beast.

And, honestly, that might be better for the long-term health of the program (presuming big goals are accomplished next year).

There’s going to be some SERIOUS attrition after the 2011-2012 season.

by RPT on Apr 11, 2010 4:54 PM CDT up reply actions

Yeah

In a backwards kind of way that could be a good sentiment, whatever makes him good enough for the NBA would make him better for Mizzou’s purposes.

The next step for CMA is to keep all this talent in check

just one bad attitude can ruin a team, so hopefully everybody gets ample and equal PT.

Well, it can be a problem...

What if John Underwood takes his new diet of 2 fish for breakfast each morning a little too seriously, and starts getting in fight with some park rangers because he’s eaten all the fish in the lake and can’t get more?

And if you couldn’t figure that out, that was a joke.

Maybe we should have an RMN contest . . .

Who can guess the next time either Mizzou football or basketball is not ranked in the AP Top 25. Hopefully it will be sometime AFTER the 11-12 seniors have graduated.

by countrycal on Apr 11, 2010 9:05 PM CDT reply actions

The rankings mean nothing, it's all name recognition.

We’ll be unranked in football until we beat foolishly-ranked #4 Nebraska.

We’ll be unranked in basketball until we beat Colorado by 93 points (112-19) to go 2-0 in conference and 21-1 overall.
