…identical to Blaine Gabbert’s ranking of Big 12 North Quarterbacks per fox sports southwest above.
also, ku has a quarterback named ‘pick’? “exxxcceelllent…”
"As loud as the ovations are for big 3s or for thunderous dunks, some of the biggest roars you hear at Mizzou Arena these days are for steals, shot clock violations, and forcing opponents into timeouts in their own backcourt. Just as Anderson has crafted himself a team built on defensive intensity, he's built himself a fan base that echoes that same value system." - RPT
I wish I could share your enthusiasm
The Twins have a pitcher named Slowey, and he kicks all kinds of ass.

Also..
..i don’t know if it scares anyone else, but Ratliffe seems to have a sort of cockiness to him. While he is the #1 JUCO transfer in the nation, and dominated the last couple years, it may be entitled. However, quotes such as “Maybe after one year (at Missouri), then I can try to do my thing in the NBA.” come across as a bit presumptive.
He also at many times will state, “they need me. they don’t have a big man doing the job there.” I love that we have him, but he speaks like this is LeBron committing to Akron. He isn’t a JYD saving a program – we do have decent talent here. I just don’t see Ratliffe continuing to be so candid and brass about his actions when CMA has a bit authority over him.

"They don't have a big man who does what I do..."
…I think that’s closer to the quote. I take him as extremely confident, but I don’t think he was dissing Mizzou’s other bigs.

Here is a full quote...
“I played with them and I could see they needed a player like me. But I need them too. They’ve got a lot of good guards, so I need them and they need me.”
That sounds pretty accurate to me. I like the attitude too.

Agreed, it's tough to make a judgment on a quote here and there
Unless he has a history of not getting along with teammates or coaches, I would not worry at this point.
born Dodger blue, now dyed Cardinals red
Lastly..
..sorry things keep coming to mind. The quote below is in an article about ratliffe above. I don’t know if the they know what type of ball we play up here in Missouri, but this AAU pace – is nothing compared to the pace Ratliffe will experience in the Big 12.
Ratliffe is accustomed to playing up-tempo from his time at Kecoughtan and in the Boo Williams AAU program. He should have little trouble playing at Anderson’s pace.

The gymnastics link explains the seeding
I thought it was odd that Oregon State was seeded higher than Mizzou, considering that Mizzou beat them at the regional. The seeding is determined by adding the regional qualifying score to the regional score and then ranking.
Some info from the local paper here that wasn’t in the linked story:
- There are 4 SEC teams, 3 Pac-10 teams, and 3 Big 12 teams + Michigan and Utah
- Missouri is in the evening session with host Florida, Alabama, Stanford, Arkansas, and Michigan
- The first session has UCLA, Oklahoma, Utah, Oregon State, LSU, and Nebraska
The Suh video is ridiculous
Dude is going to be a beast in the NFL
And yet the Rams are going to draft Bradford...

The force at which he hits that dummy
is a bit on the scary side. I understand that very rarely is a player going to get that much of a free hit on a QB, but it really does illustrate that the game is getting much more violent.

35+M guaranteed to a drafted DT just doesn't make sense
Haynesworth, who is essentially Suh’s perfect world projection in terms of impact on games, got 41M guaranteed.
Not afraid to nitpick
The draft money structure is just ridiculous...
…and I realize that it clouds the picture, but if Suh’s by far the best player in the draft, and if you’ve got holes every which way you look, then you should draft the best player in the draft. Picking a QB who’s not the best player available, when you’ve got about 12 other holes to address before you can really worry about the QB position, is just not the best strategy … especially when, in the last five years, there’s been about a 1-in-5 success rate in QBs drafted in the top three (Ryan was a success, Russell and A. Smith were very very much not, Stafford and Young are still maybes).

Well
Russell and Smith reportedly have massive problems with their work ethic which Bradford by all accounts doesn’t have, but even tossing that aside, it still doesn’t make much difference IMO. It isn’t about the best player, it’s about the biggest impact for wins. Unless you have just a killer team (which the Rams will not exactly have with perfect world Suh), the NFL comes down to the QB more than anything. Matt Ryan is a hit that has pretty much turned the entire franchise around.
If Suh is Haynesworth-good, the Rams have the building blocks for a dominant defense……and still a terrible record with the Jackson+ 10 guys offense unless a Warner/Brees falls into your lap. If Bradford is Matt Ryan or Philip Rivers, they have a playoff team if not a contender as soon as 2-3 years from now.
And who knows if Suh goes all Glenn Dorsey on it.
Not afraid to nitpick
So the alternative is paying huge bucks to Bradford?
If you’re that worried about the financial impact of drafting #1(and that exists regardless of who you pick), then trade down. Don’t draft a poor man’s Chris Simms instead of the best player.
