I hate to talk aesthetics...
but I hate Butler’s black shoes, white socks, look.

hard to believe
matt howard was the horizon league poy last year. dude is a foul machine. with no apparent game whatsoever.

"So we finish the 18th and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, 'Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know".
Does CBS purposely give us bad announcers for the most important games?
I’d prefer Lundquist+Raftery, Elmore+Johnson, or Bilas+Enberg. Nantz and Kellogg speak off a script, it seems. They both sound like they are from a videogame and have preset lines.

Wow, Kellogg just said, "Somebody on Butler needs to put the ball in the basket."
I just turned the game off because I can’t stand to listen to these crappy commentators and I can’t stand the awful CBS presentation with 5-minute time-outs and no crowd noise. It was a fun season of college basketball, though.

I have a rule of thumb on Twitter:
If someone ever fills up my TweetDeck column singlehandedly (six Tweets, I believe), they get unfollowed.
You notched the feat on April 1.

just caught the end of the big 12 gymnastics championships
congrats to mizzou’s sarah shire: repeat big 12 all-around champ.
ou won the team title. mizzou was 3rd out of 4.
i was surprised there are only 4 teams- none of the texas schools.
...
The Large Poster on the baseline that say “THE ROAD ENDS HERE” would make me soil my drawers.
"As loud as the ovations are for big threes or for thunderous dunks, some of the biggest roars you hear at Mizzou Arena these days are for steals, shot clock violations, and forcing opponents into timeouts in their own backcourt. Just as Anderson has crafted himself a team built on defensive intensity, he's built himself a fan base that echoes that same value system." -
Oy...
…am thinking Butler has probably wasted its best opportunity to win by choosing now to miss 114 straight shots.

why do i fee like all highlights of this wvu team
is against Mizzou? perhaps cuz we scared them the most?
Great moments are born from great opportunity.
I was actually just thinking that.
I think we did in fact give Huggy & Co. more of a challenge than Kentucky or Washington did.

They were showing Da'sean Butler, who had a great game against us.
I wasn’t able to watch his games against Washington or Kentucky so I think his best game of the tournament against a real team (not Morgan State) was the game against Missoui.

Strong Evidence for Missouri's Defense System:
55.6 — Michigan State’s field-goal percentage.
30.6 — Butler’s field goal percentage.

“Remember what I said about how everything in the Fastest 40 Minutes system snowballs when everything is working right? That snowball effect multiplies exponentially when Mizzou Arena is rocking during conference play. For as violently frustrated as I can get with fans at Faurot Field, I continue to be impressed by how attuned to Anderson’s system the crowd at Mizzou Arena continues to be. As loud as the ovations are for big threes or for thunderous dunks, some of the biggest roars you hear at Mizzou Arena these days are for steals, shot clock violations, and forcing opponents into timeouts in their own backcourt. gruesome injury for da'sean butler.
sucks. that kid seems like a really good kid with his head screwed on straight. i wish him the best. side note: who woulda thought huggy had 2 hot daughters? :-)

I want to know why Bob Huggins pretended to have sex with him on the court.
I really hope somebody got a picture of that.
Although I really do feel bad for Decaf and hope it’s not too serious.

c'mon, man.
the guy had played more games in a mountaineer uni than any of his predecessors. huggy was emotional, and butler couldn’t move. don’t make a dirty joke out of it. i’ve got more respect for bob huggins after this tourney than i used to have. he loves his players. and fights for them. i could see cma doing that for kimmie of he were to go down in a similar situation.
anybody think butler has a chance against duke monday night? nantz and kellogg (ugh) can say all they want about singler, scheyer and smith. the difference in this game was zoubek and his rebounding. not to mention the altering of a whole lot of wvu shots. many by da’sean butler. i don’t think butler has anybody that neutralize him in the paint. especially since howard seems to foul about every 37 seconds.

Huh.
That’s an interesting read on the situation, considering, you know, he’s the coach of a senior who just suffered a (college) career-ending injury.

Alright, I can't leave this alone, StopSpe.
If this is what you took away from what transpired on the court in Indianapolis tonight, I pray that the good Lord never puts you in a position in which someone entrusts their son or daughter to you or puts you in a situation in which someone you love/someone you care about is in unbearable pain.
What I saw on the court tonight was perhaps some of the most gut-wrenching few minutes of television I’ve ever seen. The lack of judgment shown in your post (and this certainly is not the first time) is almost unendurable to read, to digest, and to comprehend. There may be communities that find that comment amusing. This sure as hell isn’t one of them.
Thank You.

First, I fail to see the relevance
Seriously, who cares? It’s not like people are being denied opportunity.
Second, I fail to see the solid chance. Looking at the minutes spread for Butler alone, the only way you see five guys of European descent on the floor at the same time is if Butler is getting blown out in the final minutes. Even then, the guy with the fewest minutes played for Butler this year is of African descent, so I wouldn’t hold my breath.
You are more likely to see a “wash” on the Duke side, but even then, Dawkins doesn’t play a ton of minutes and might be on the floor even at the end of blowout.
Maybe Duke blows out Butler, but I think it will be a fairly close game. Even then, some things additional things have to line up.
So, irrelevant and, in my view, incorrect.
It was never intended to be either relevant or correct.
…it was intended to be a slightly different way of saying “These teams sure do have a lot of white guys,” and that’s about it.
