Mizzou Links, 5-6-10

Wow, we have apparently officially reached the offseason ... as there are next to no Mizzou-related links to share.

  • Tulsa World: OSU's Matt Pilgrim accused of rape, served protective order
According to a campus police activity report from April 13, the student reported being sexually assaulted by an acquaintance while in her residence in Smith Hall, an apartment-style living unit on campus.

    ...

Pilgrim did not immediately respond to a text message from the Tulsa World, but this was posted on his Facebook page about 3 p.m. Wednesday:

"I can’t take it no more... I always play the victim. (All) I’ve done was work hard to prove people wrong... People lie and every one that know(s) me know(s) my passion to become somebody, but Satan is working overtime on me.... But I’m (going to) let God handle this... I will still work hard to provide for me and the ones I love. Please do (not believe what’s) going on. I just want peace... Sorry to everyone that is affected by this."

Ugh ... don't even know what to say about this. Took about three hours for this to become a he-said-she-said situation, and everybody will now take sides based on their own tendencies instead of facts.  Hate these situations.  One thing's for certain: OSU's screwed if Pilgrim doesn't play next year.

Ah, Tim and Eric.

That show is absolute chaos, but it really does have its moments. As long as you know what you’re getting into, Tim and Eric is genius.

They put it best in a 2008 article in The New York Times:

"We have a very strict set of rules of what we think is funny," said Eric Wareheim, who created and stars in the series with Tim Heidecker.

"And," Mr. Heidecker added, "I guess those would be, in no particular order: darkness, discomfort, confusion and things that shouldn’t exist."

"Don’t want to spend my night waiting in line unless it’s for more beer."
