Coming in August: The 2010 Missouri Football Preview

RPT and I are excited (to say the least) to announce the publication of Rock M Nation's first Mizzou Football publication, the 2010 Missouri Football Preview, to be made available at the beginning of August. The 94-page production will include position-by-position walkthroughs, opponent (and remaining Big 12 teams) previews, a reference section, and history pieces for 1985, 1960 and 1935 (25, 50 and 75 years ago). We are even more excited to mention columns from Dave Matter and site members Michael Atchison, ghtd36 and The Beef. To say something has been a labor of love is extremely cliche, but in this case it is absolutely true. Long hours have gone into this, and we really hope you enjoy the result.
Pricing and purchasing information will be made available as we know it -- we are still finalizing how and where this will be made available. But for now, we just wanted to try to get you as psyched about this project as we are. Thanks to everybody who helped (and is still helping), especially designer Colleen Cusumano and everybody's favorite Rock M photographer, Bill Carter. Thanks also to Mrs. Bill C., for Mother Teresa-level patience.

I must say.
I’m pretty surprised I was not asked to write a column.

Spoiler alert:
My column is about Double Rainbows.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN???
It's not the size of the dog in the fight; it's the size of the fight in the dog.

I feel comfortable saying...
… this magazine may be the exact reason why Bill has yet to write about those Top 10 teams.

Yep...
…not because of what’s actually in the mag (though I’m damn sure not writing new words about the 1960 team…recycling, baby…to some degree), but because of the amount of time the mag (and some ridiculously hefty FO columns) have taken.

Maybe if you spent less time..
And wasted effort convincing Alabama fans that last years team was not the greatest team ever, you would have had time for them…. :)

We've now moved on to 1995 Nebraska.
Which, granted, has a pretty good case.

yeah, that's what I meant
priorities, Bill. The people who read your stuff for free are much more important than something that you can sell (and probably still not make nearly enough money from to pay for your time).
Hence the question
Oh, I’ll be buying the magazine, I’m excited for it, but I have been wanting to know whether 2007 or 1960 was a better season for so long now, I’ve forgotten how to see straight.
Maybe we should help Bill . . .
. . . by starting a poll of his readers so he will have something to which he can respond. Even though I remember the ’60 team, I think 2007 was much more exciting for the fans.
Woot!

Never been prouder than to be . . .
named on the cover as “and more.” That’s me, baby!

Me, you and Beef need "1/3rd of And More" shirts.

Folks will be suprised . . .
when they discover that Beef’s contribution is an analyis of the 184-pound division in Big 12 wrestling and an homage to Sarah Shire.

Variety can be the spice of life . . .
. . . but Beef’ has a real challenge making those two subjects acceptable fare for a football-starved audience.

Looking forward to this . . .

I have no problem paying . . .
. . . for a quality product; but if that is the price, I hope you allow a portion of it to be paid with Monopoly money :-)
So, is SBNation going to have a week-long series of posts "Where I Come From II"
to promote the release of the RMNMFPM2010?
That's a tremendous idea!

Is this going to be an e-book or in print?
[SUSPECTED SPAM] I’m all about the e-books.

There will be definitely be digital download, cheaper than the print version...
Though whether or not that’ll be via PDF or actual e-book versions is TBD at the moment.
