PS3 NCAA '11 Online Dynasty?

My first year buying the PS3 version will also be the first time I do an online dynasty. Chalk it up to being lazy or not trusting the interwebz...whatever.

A buddy of mine is going to run the league, but I'm not sure if he's ever done one either. I guess we're just looking for warm bodies and suggestions for the dynasty at this point. I think we're both all ears on suggestions for how to run it, such as:

-Eligible teams. I wouldn't mind nixing some squads, but we could play a wide open dynasty too. If you have Alabama or tOSU, you're eligible to get clowned if you lose though. I wouldn't mind delegating this to certain conferences either. Say, a Pac-10 only dynasty.

-7 minute quarters good? Five minutes just seems entirely too short.

-We all obviously use the same roster. I think the three current people in the OD all have the rosters from my EA Locker (PSN: thiel82). It's all named including transfers.

-All-American difficulty? I think this is pretty common.

I guess most importantly, we play during the late morning, during day, or late at night. We all have jobs that kind of have strange times. You won't need to pound out a season in two days or anything, and I guess you and your opponent just really need to be on at the same time to play your game, so maybe timing isn't everything here.

If you're interested, just drop a reply in the comments. Also, feel free to add me on PSN. I think currently I have four or five PSN friends, so I can make room.

^^THIS^^

Or not really at all. We need to have a few more people get in on it before the OD becomes official. I’m sure I’ll try to steal recruits and run up the score on at least one of my buddies, but we’ll probably mostly play with a beer or five.

If you're still looking, I'll join

I played in an online dynasty on last year’s game and it was sweet. I’ll add you as a friend.

Looks like the Dynasty is starting at 10p central TONIGHT.

Check your online dynasty page and “ok” your invite. I don’t think they show up in your regular inbox on the PS3 homepage or whatever it’s called.

And jeez 65TPT…tOSU? Boo! I think you automatically became the favorite to win, just on team choice alone.

I was surprised when I saw that

I wasn’t sure how good the teams that people were picking but I think being UNC fits alright. Hopefully they offense will be able to put up some points since their defense is extremely stout.

I tried playing with UNC a few days ago vs the computer...

That D is ridiculously good, and that offense is ridiculously bad. If you won a 2-0 game, it wouldn’t surprise me.

Walker just moved up to E. Washington, so he figured he’d roll with Wazzu. I saw his stats and text him…the only player on that squad (QB- Tuel) got busted up so he’s already on a backup after Week 1.

It really doesn’t matter what team you want to play with, but all the NCAA boards have people bitching about getting run out of the building by tOSU and Bama. Those two teams are just nasty.

Not too terribly long

It is really easy to do on the computer. Click this link to see the dynasty in web browser format.

Cuse

I had to check the skill level after I played.. felt like was on rookie or something. Maybe Akron is just that bad?

Are we planning on advancing at normal intervals or what is the plan for that?

It is on All-American, right?

I drew an FCS team to begin with, so I couldn’t tell. I saw UNC had some trouble with LSU before pulling it out, and the rest of us had scrubs, so I kind of figured it was on A-A, but haven’t looked to confirm.

I imagine we’ll progress every couple of days. I think we were waiting on two people to play their games as of this afternoon. If it’s not done by tomorrow night, I’ll tell him to just progress to next week.

Side note: Saw your Cuse score. That’s just nasty. I didn’t know Cuse could throw that many points on the board, even if it was user controlled.

It is on All American...

Anyone else have any injuries. My best CB out for the year on the first series.. Hopefully not an omen.

Walker (Wazzu) had his starting QB go down in the 3rd qtr.

In a Mizzou/kU game, I had Gachkar go out for 10 weeks. Thankfully, it was an exhibition. I think that’s the longest injury I’ve had on my squad. Caused a couple season enders.
