I could rewatch the crowd reaction to Ressel's kick as soon as he hit it
over and over and over again. Watching this video proved one thing….that I drank too much during the game last year while sitting at home.

Yeah, for this game it was an absolute necessity.
Just showing the Mizzou highlights would have missed the drama involved.

I have been waiting for this video.....
Great work! The highs and lows I experienced from this game are crazy and I still have the game on my DVR, much to my wife’s chagrin. This was a perfect game to use the music from Crimson Tide, however, I get a strong sense of irony in using this music – from a movie about a naval confrontation to highlight the game prior to the “showdown” against Navy. All kidding aside…it is great music, and a great video.
That, friends, is what college football is all about
I love – love, love, love – rivalry games.
A few thoughts:
1. I had forgotten how good Derrick Washington was that day. Hope to see that guy again this year.
2. I’m going to miss Danario something awful.
3. I’m not going to miss Reesing, Meier and Briscoe a bit. Those guys could play.
4. J. Jackson – get well soon.
5. My annual request: Someone please destroy Gary’s two-point conversion chart. Bill, here’s a request: Chart out every time Gary has gone for two before the fourth quarter – situation, result, and how it impacted the rest of the game.

Nothing will ever beat MU-UI '07 when it comes to doltish two-point attempts...
…but yes, that is one area where Pinkel and I have an almost complete and total philosophical disagreement.

The Beast Mode unis seem to be nearly universially liked among the fans
However, say Mizzou lost in 2009 and won in 2008. Say also that the weather was clear in 2008 so the field didn’t make everything look like crap.
Would Mizzou fans like the gold jerseys and hate the Beast Mode unis? I personally liked the gold jerseys, but I understand they looked like total crap on TV due to the field conditions and rain/snow that day. But if anybody actually takes the time to look at them on a hanger I think you’ll find that they look absolutely nothing like they did on TV. Beast Mode was awesome, too.
I loved the Beast Mode jerseys...
But couldn’t stand the gold at all and I was at that game. Had nothing to do w/losing the game. I remember when they came out of the tunnel I turned to my friend and said I hope those are just warm up jerseys but nope.
I liked everything about the beast mode jersey though. The fact that nike picked MU as one of the elite schools to debut the new gear might have something to do w/it too. They are tough and intimidating looking and I really hope they bring them back
I want a championship team in KC.

This video reminds me that the turf at Arrowhead is
a complete joke. Seriously, Chiefs—buy some field turf. Jackson County just floated you a $300 million freebie renovation, so the least that could happen in return is the Chiefs buying a decent playing surface. I’m tired of watching players on both teams fall down during this game each year.

A good portion of the facilities on this list have field turf…
I assume that the Wizards – ManU game was with an eye toward a 2018 or 2022 world cup. If Indy or Jersey can be involved in the bidding with field turf facilities, I don’t see why it’s an issue for KC. Maybe I’m missing something.

Outstanding video as always ZouDave. This was easily the most stressful game I’ve ever had to sit through and you did it justice.
As always, with watching your video though, it makes me sad that the university doesn’t leverage its library of game footage like some other schools do. I know I’d love to add this game, as well as a number of others to my library … and I’m sure I’m not alone in this.
Driving through my favorite spot in Kansas...
…and I came across this gem of a place. I wonder how many channels they get.
