Big Day for MU Alumni in the NFL
Sunday was a big day for several former Tigers.
- Jeremy Maclin had two TDs for the Eagles. He has 4 TD catches in the first three games of the season. First TD Second TD
- Sean Weatherspoon had 7 tackles and teammate William Moore 6 for the Falcons in their dramatic OT win over the defending Super Bowl champ Saints
- Justin Gage led the Titans in receptions (3) and yards (36). Okay, so that may not look that impressive, but VY only completed 10 passes.

Thanks for the wrap-up
I saw the Maclin stats while channelsurfing and I was wondering about the others. I appreciate having it consolidated on this site.
Brad Smith
3 rush for 41 yards, 1 rec for 11 yards, and 4 kick returns for 150 yards.
Not too shabby. Also, I didn’t know Willy Mo was also playing for the Falcons. Awesome.

he seemed to constantly be around the ball
i guess being a qb he is smart enough to be be on all the special teams, and the guy in motion. It seems like they ask alot of him with out getting the ball very much.
They really should run the wildcat alot more.

Any Info on Spoooon?
I saw him getting carted off the field to the locker room a few minutes before OT….

According to his twitter he's just fine

call me crazy
but does Brad do a lot of the “hurray for me, I made a first down” now…something he didn’t do in college and we all like him more for it?

Maybe slightly, which I think is probably attributable to the culture of the NFL (Brad is still waaaaay understated as far as celebration goes). But he also is mainly showing cmopetitive fire — which I love (and whch he sometimes did at Mizzou — see the Indy Bowl, for example).
Brad really could do a lot of damage for a team that ran more wildcat than the Jets.
Also, it could be the Rod Tidwell syndrome
No one notices you unless you make a bit of a spectacle of yourself.
Fair enough
He did say ‘Mizzou’ in his intro, so he still knows what’s what

Other than being an Missouri boy at heart, obviously… hope he’s gettin’ paid for that blatant advert.

Not to rip on one of the best DEs we've ever had but...

Smith leaving also opens up the door for a new Bengal DUI Blood Alcohol Content record holder. Smith’s blow of .152 in his 2004 DUI arrest was the team high, but somehow he was left out of the discussions of the jailbird Bengals. The arrest happened barely a year before Chris Henry started his body of work, yet Smith came out unscathed. Again, did anyone notice his Anheuser-Busch tattoo?
They are, uh, not fans of Godzilla (at least, not now that he left Cincy).
I find quite a few blog comments about it, but nothing indicating that it stands for anything other than what it is – AB’s corporate logo.
How much of AB's product would Smith have to consume to get his BAC to .152?
I would think his body mass would lead that to be a large volume.

Based on his current weight of 285 lbs, and
guessing 3 hours of drinking, that is roughly 14.5 beers.

You clearly did not look at the date on this post.
Or you were being sarcastic.
