I just watched the replay several times, the RE97 almost completely blew past Fisher and was in Gabbert’s face. He does have happy feet right now, but in that case Fisher wasn’t doing a very good job of blocking him.

dude is not a drop back passer, they are running the pistol option with play action pass, not a lot of sacks gonna happen traditionally. Containing the QB/Pitchman will force them up the middle/pass.

Positives:
1. Henry Josey has some nice speed to the outside.
2. Aldon Smith is also speedy – just wish he wasn’t having to be the one running down the QB or RB everytime.
3. Defense was not totally inept.
Overall this seems alot like the bowling green game mixed with the Navy game from last year. The power formation I keep seeing from UI looks alot like Navy, and that option read is hard for us to defend. Hopefully Gabbert and company come out and dominate late like Bowling green instead of deciding to pack it in as they did against Navy.
