Around SBN: Jeremy Lin's Game-Winner Was Incredible, Worth Remembering

Fun Game After Week 1

Ok Tiger Fans, its clearly early in the season, but after one game you can already start to see which players on the team are unreplacable.  My question to you is this:

Which 5 players on the team can Mizzou absolutely not afford to lose for the rest of the season?  My answers after the jump.  (Hopefully this does not cause a jinx which makes all of our best players hurt themselves)

Star-divide

1.  Blaine Gabbert- I think this one is pretty simple.  Our second string qb has never taken a college snap, The only other qb on a roster who has is a former walk on.  If Gabbert goes down, I think you immediately lose 3 extra games this year.

2.  Aldon Smith-In my opinion, the best player on the team, and quite possibly the best end in the country.  The man is a machine, and without him our defensive line is pretty pedestrian.

3.  Carl Gettis-I have been on his bandwagon for quite some time.  And I would have said the same thing last year.  If gettis does not get injured last year, this team is 10-2 and playing for the big 12 title.  The two times he got hurt?  4th quarter of Nebraska game, and second half of the Baylor game.  Anybody remember how our defense performed those times?  It was nice to see him have an awesome game, and that INT was one of the best I have ever seen.  And not just in college.

The next two on the list are much more difficult, and I could switch in a lot of players here, but what I came up with was...

4.  Tim Barnes-  The greatest differnece between our first and second stringers at the center position is probably greater than any other position on the team.  And that includes QB.

5.  Tj Moe-While he didn't show quite the explosiveness I have heard he is capable of, there is no way Mizzou wins yesterday without him.

Dittos on all 5

The only other 2 names that pop into mind are Simmons and Egnew(where has Jones gone?). I would like to add a name that I think might HELP if he were lost for this and all future seasons. Yost!! THE GAME IS PLATED NORTH AND SOUTH.

…that first field goal, kinda missed due to a high snap. I have a feeling we need his long snap-age.
