Perloff also has Aldon 8th overall. I love my guys as much as the next Mizzou fan, but
two Tigers in the top ten. I’ll reserve my exhuberance until the end of April.
have it your way
I’m celebrating now.

yeah I highly doubt Aldon goes that high.
You don't have to come and confess, we lookin' for you, we gon' find you, we gon' find you. So you can run and tell that, Homeboy.
ive always said the combine will make him
I still think someone in the top ten, or 15 at least, will forget that he needs 10 to 15 more pounds to be effective at the next level. I think he very well could end up at 8.

Gervino was being lazy
While Tech has been historically down for the better part of 10 years, last night’s win moved them to 15-1 and an RPI in the low 20’s. It would have been as significant a win as the Texas or Georgetown wins for Coach Pingeton’s club.
Good to know.
It was certainly an impromptu exchange between Gervino and Sundvold, so it would have been hard for him to look that up on the spot. Cracked me up that Sundvold asked it at all…let’s just say that I too was being lazy enough not to look up whether Tech was good or not. :-)
the exchange between Gervino and Sunvold was hilarious
basically because that’s exactly what I thought when they talked about it: Is Tech any good?
Seriously, ESPN needs to do something about the bottom line when women’s basketball scores come up. Invert the color scheme or something, I get got all the time see the scores and thinking “Depaul beat Pitt?! oh wait, they don’t have Pitt ranked, damn women’s basketball.”
Because the fact that it was "NCAAW" isn't enough of a clue?
I guess they could turn it pink?

I never look at the far left because, generally, I can tell from the team names and the score what sport I am looking at.

Soooo....in the end
the lost to Colorado may end up looking better than the lost to G’Town.

Either that...
…or Kansas State is not as good as we thought they were.
In fact — and it’s early, so this shouldn’t be the end all-be all, but — KenPom has Kansas State as the 8th best team in the Big XII.
KenPom Rankings:
Kansas (3)
Texas (9)
A&M (20)
Mizzou (26)
Baylor (32)
Nebraska (38)
Iowa State (40)
Kansas State (48)
Oklahoma State (59)
Colorado (64)
Texas Tech (114)
Oklahoma (134)
If anything, I think this speaks to the fact that the top 10 teams in the Big XII are a lot closer than we originally thought.

the top ten in this conference are extremely close.
not even kansas has really done enough for me to say “it’s kansas and then everyone else.” i really hope it ends up being “kansas, texas, mizzou and everyone else,” but mizzou is going to have to win some games first. being 3-1 at 6:30 on monday would REALLY help the cause.

Yep.
There are only two gimmes in conference this season, and sadly, we only get to play them each once.

honestly
there’s really no excuse for not beating iowa state and nebraska twice and taking care of colorado in the revenge game. but crazier things have happened.

and as i go look...
i see mizzou is projected to lose to nebraska and iowa state on the road. methinks kenpom’s numbers underrate mizzou a bit. just like they overrated them the past two years.

In KenPom's defense...
…Mizzou hasn’t shown that it can go on the road and beat teams with a pulse, with all due respect to Oregon.

mizzou is 1-1 in true road games.
you’re correct in saying they haven’t show they can go on the road and beat decent teams, but it’s simply a lack of opportunity to do so at this point. i realize saturday happened, but that was basically the georgetown game version 2.0.
i’m being a bit of a homer here, but hopefully mizzou can prove my point on saturday. it would certainly be a huge win and would (hopefully) result in a nice jump in their kenpom ranking.

I believe its a combination of both
Colorado beat Mizzou at home then walked into Manhattan and took care of business
ISU hung with KU for about 38 minutes. Nebraska also hung with Mizzou at Mizzou Areana.
As stlcardinalsfang said if we could exit Monday night at 3-1, that would be great

I am not surprised Weeden is coming back. I am shocked that Blackmon is returning.
"Anderson won't make substitutions. He'll change lines - Tiller, Taylor and English hit the bench while Denmon, Dixon and Paul hop the boards. Welcome to Hockey Night in Columbia. He won't take time outs. He'll take on fuel and tires. Welcome to the Hardwood 400." - Atch
i'm really disappointed in blackmon's decision.
it’s a double whammy for this rams fan. not only can the rams not draft him, but mizzou gets to play him next year. bleh.

You could make the case that it really is a poor decision and Gundy should be counseling the kid differently.
He would be a lock as a first round pick and very likely the first receiver taken. His stock could only go down next year. You hope he stays healthy.

i'm always for a kid staying in school and getting his degree.
considering college graduates are better at, well, everything. but blackmon likely costed himself some dough by going back to school this year.

When a kid has the chance to make that kind of money, I think they should go.
They can (and should) come back to finish their degree either in the off season or after their playing days are over IMO. I think Blaine (and hopefully Aldon though I am not convinced) made a great decision and will hopefully look at his time at Mizzou fondly and want to finish the degree.

this isn't horribly important
but it’s reported in the Chicago Tribune that Michigan took a crack at Northwestern’s Pat Fitzgerald. Fitz declined, but it kinda brings up a question that D-Sing proposed on twitter…what makes an elite program? Cause I’m seeing more than one ‘elite’ coach pass it up.
Finds MvP RoC to be a stellar individual
is Gundy becoming Stoops?
I think Bob is quite selfish in his handling of potential early entrants. Get the feeling that his goal is to convince them to come back, regardless of where they may go. Not right, especially at a program where losses are more easily replaced than almost anywhere else.
