20 Yrs and $300M: Texas forms own network
To be announced later day, a deal between ESPN and the University of Texas for the first broadcast network exclusive to a college or university. ESPN is paying UT a rights fee of $15 million a year for the 20 year deal. IMG college already pays UT $10 million for other multimedia rights, so that means Texas athletics receives $25 million for its broadcast rights.
