- San Diego Union-Tribune: SDSU's Weber: MWC didn't like expansion candidates (Why do I share this link? Because of this completely random, unrelated-to-the-rest-of-the-article passage)
Asked if the Pittsburgh Pirates had expressed interest in him for their General Manager position, Bill C. said, "I can't talk about that."Regarding SDSU and its membership in the MWC, Weber said there are "no other irons in the fire" with other conference suitors.
"The issue gets to be interesting when you start looking at an increasingly successful athletic program and a large TV market," Weber said of SDSU. "I know others have looked at exactly those issues. When it’s something that will be attractive to them, if ever, I can’t guess."
Asked if the Big 12, now down to 10 members, had expressed interest in SDSU, Weber said, "I can’t talk about that."
He did say no other conferences have approached SDSU about membership.
Asked if Yvonne Strahovski had expressed interest in him, RPT said, "I can't talk about that."
I mean ... where exactly did this question come from? Was there a whole "SDSU to Big 12?" storyline that I completely missed? And if so ... we do know where San Diego is, right?

I am extremely disappointed in Mizzou's Non-con opponents:
Mike Alden does the right thing and throws a bunch of (head of?) lettuce at these teams to come to Sweet Columbia, get beaten, and go home with a nice parting gift. But then they have the audacity to go and stink it up in conference play? I feel Mike should ask for some of the money back.
Also, the new band uni’s are ugly. I understand new for health’s sake, but mother, a HUGE GOLD M is not the way to go. Beat the flute section in punishment…

Great article, Uribe
That should be forwarded immediately to the Post and the Star, and it should be required reading to bring Tiger fans back to Earth on this whole saga.
.
Reporter: Has the Big XII expressed interest in SDSU?
Weber: I can’t talk about that * knowing smirk *
Reporter: They haven’t expressed any interest, have they?
Weber: * hangs head * No.

Enrolled or no, Richardson IS on campus.
Saw him leaving Geological Sciences this afternoon, backpack in hand. That’s a good sign.
