Loved the article, though there was a glaring error...

…in the part about Athenagate.

In his first year-and-a-half at Missouri, he suspended three different players for off-court incidents. In January 2008, he faced his biggest decision. Five Missouri players – Stefhon Hannah, Jason Horton, Marshall Brown, Darryl Butterfield and Leo Lyons – were involved in a fight outside Athena Night Club.

All five players were ones Mike Anderson inherited from Quin Snyder

I’ve cut him plenty of slack regarding the fact that he recruited Hannah and Butterfield … but he did recruit both Hannah and Butterfield. The story is still impressive, but they tried to make it a little too impressive.

Is their a basketball stat for 'would be' assists?

As in, had they basket gone in, they passer would be attributed an assist.

Mizzou’s “Big 12 Network” games are going to be on KPLR11 this year and therefore available in HD! Includes this Sat. game @CU, 2/12 OU, 2/19 @ISU, and 3/1 @NU (pending CW network clearance)

This is probably just nit picking but

from the article about Kadeem Green:

Anderson saw enough potential to offer a scholarship to an injured player.

Didn’t Kadeem’s injury occur after he had accepted an offer from Missouri and CMA honored that offer in spite of the injury? I could certainly be “misremembering” due to my advance age.
