Coach Pinkel's Open Letter of Apology
My understanding is that he has already gone to court and plead guilty to all charges.
As an editorial, I am very impressed with how the AD and Coach Pinkel have handled this situation. It shows a lot of character to step up and take responsibility for your actions and show genuine regret when a mistake is made. This makes me even more proud to have him on the sidelines.

good read here.
my favorite paragraph:
“I suspect it is for similar reasons," he e-mailed, "that we don’t say ‘readed,’ ‘bleeded’ or ‘speeded’ — they are unpoetic…I acknowledge that we lawyers do say ‘deeded,’ but in that instance, consider the alternative."

He did not blow
they drew blood, and it has not been (and is likely to not ever be – officially, at least) released.

I am sad for him that he has to go through this.
I haven’t lost any respect whatsoever for him though. He’s human like the rest of us and I am glad he went ahead and plead guilty and didn’t try to fight a case or parse words with the public.
I just hope he doesn’t get too down on himself about it and realizes that alot of people out here still respect him for the great leader he has been..

If you expect perfection from people, your only going to be disappointed
What the deal is, you’ve got to figure out how someone will deal with making the mistakes, and whether they’ll learn from their mistake.

everyone falls
The character is in how you respond. Coach has shown his and I am proud of him. Enjoy the broadcast if you can Coach…maybe you’ll see something valuable in this new perspective.

Given what's going on in college sports right now, I think Mizzou got off easy
GO GO FIGHTING METH AGGIES!
what do you mean got off easy
i think he got screwed. i think he should have lost some pay, donated all the bonuses to charity and taken what the prosecuter is going to give him. that man doesn’t have to apologize to me because i understand that he is just a man. just like you and me and i know shit happens to all of us.
can't we just pave over kansas?
He said Mizzou got off easy.
Not Pinkel.

The state's highest paid public employee...
… should probably have to be responsible for a criminal offense.

Yes this.
Anyone else been pondering how he can make it up to his Senior players? My Idea is that he should start as many as possible according to position, and play them the entire first series of downs. Those that have a Senior that is normally not a starter ahead of them on the depth chart either rotate in or play the next series of downs.
