So unless Lucy pulls away the football away yet again (ever notice how Charlie Brown wears black and gold?) Mizzou is going to the SEC.

The majority of the rumors as of late have put Mizzou in the SEC East. My question is, who should Missouri's cross-division rival be if they are placed in the SEC East. The most likely candidate perhaps, and the easiest candidate logistically, is Texas A&M. Personally, based on what I feel are the makings of a great rivalry because of proximity and some past history, I would be excited to see our "official rival" be Arkansas.
Given that we have no strong ties to any SEC East school (maybe you can contrive some hatred for Kentucky with the blue colors, the use of the letter K, and hopeless football situation?) I see the issue of establishing rivalries as very important.
But who would you rather play year in and year out. TAMU? Arkansas? Have the Mississippi St. Bulldogs just been asking for it?
I set up a poll on Arkansas Expats and so far a whopping 80% have voted for Mizzou as their rival instead of South Carolina. http://www.arkansasexpats.com/2011/11/4/2539347/missouri-your-rival
(There could be a slight sample size issue as so far there are only 5 votes.) Nonetheless, the 80% is a whopping 80%.
