What I would like to know is how Texas has managed to stay ranked while losing 3 of their last 4, while Missouri, who was ranked last week, and has won 4 of their last 5 fell out of the BCS rankings.
Two of the computer rankings even have the balls to rank Texas at 13! How is this possible? It is mind boggling. What’s even worse is that the KM ranking had them at 15 last week, and then promoted them to 13 after they LOST big time to Baylor and they have a losing record in the Big12 Conference.

Going directly to the Computer rankings site we can see that Missouri has an average ranking of 23 While Texas has an average ranking of 22.83333, or to round up, call it 23 as well. It is interesting to note that none of the actual sites have Texas listed as #13 while the BCS claims two of the computers rank Texas at #13.
Dropping the highest and lowest gives Missouri an average of 24, while Texas average is 23
Between the Harris Poll and the AP Poll Missouri has received 17 votes while Texas has received only 6.
So if we look at how the polls are calculated, Missouri has a higher number of votes in the Harris and AP poll by almost a factor of 3, and is only 1 spot below Texas in the combined computer rankings.
Can someone explain to me how Texas is ranked and Missouri is not? I don’t understand the love affair with Texas.
