GREG ROBINSON FOR DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR

I think there is too much danger with that.

And after his first bowl appearance, Weis would want to be the highest paid coach in college football.

thing about it is, though,
he’s been 2 places in cfb with big time pressure. uf and nd are all about the football program and upholding tradition. he won’t have that at kansas and may have more time to prove himself. i wouldn’t be surprised to see him win 6 or 7 games in another 3-4 years. and i’d say as long as he’s not making bad noise off the field, they’ll be happy with that.

This is what the NCAA thinks about the Big XII:
“I still believe — and a lot of people disagree — I still believe conferences are regional activities and that people know what the SEC is: it’s the deep south of the United States. They know what the Pac 10-12 is: it’s the West Coast of the United States. They have meaning. The Big 12 has meaning as part of the country that people know, the Big Ten. People look at sport as a regional activity, not a national one.”

I'm speechless.
If Charlie Weiss couldn’t win at Notre Dame( Notre Dame!)
how the HELL is he gonna win at Kansas???
If he didn’t stay with the Kansas City Chiefs(!) or the Florida Gators
how long is he gonna stay at KU?
Why on Earth would he take that job??
…So many questions…
because the definition of winning at Kansas is getting 0.500 records once every two or three years.
Its a different standard.
Looks like he pulled a CMA
In a stunning, unexpected twist, offensive coordinator Charlie Weis is leaving Florida to become the new head coach at Kansas.
The news comes just a little more than two weeks after Weis, who is having health issues with his knee and hip, stated that he planned to be at Florida for many years as long as he was wanted.

What an obtuse decision by Kansas
Charlie Weiss is a rather enormous gamble for a head coach. He is largely know throughout college football as a sub-par coach. I have heard that Kansas shares a common trait with Weiss when it comes to his salary, and that sorts is largess. One can hope the Charlie will have a wide impact on the program. While many fans are upset about the morbidly obese debt the football program has run up from former coaches, one can hope that Weiss will establish himself heavily and thickly upon the program, in order to beef up its credentials.
Coach Weiss is also fat

Breaking news out of Lawrence
Big news from kU today. University administration introduced their enormous new hire for head football coach. Staring that they wanted someone who would make a big splash, the school hired Charlie Weiss. The kU AD was proud of the decision calling it a major addition to the school, one that will help them to start throwing their weight around in the new look Big XII and gain a ton of new recruits. Unfortunately for the football team, it looks like they will have to pull more of their fare share of weight in order to meet these jumbo expectations of the new coach. With the gigantic new hire ready to make his presence felt largely both in the school and the conference, kU fans can start once again getting bloated and uncomfortably large expectations for the football team, and their new seismic hire at head coach.

Because they are on the verge of utter destruction in their athletic department. This is a no brainer move for Weis
Instead of being at a place where they are seeking cupcakes to feed on he now goes to where he will be smack dab in the center of one.
He has control of his own giant cupcake to wallow around within. Its gotta be heaven.
Once again the jayhawks imitate Mizzou in order to attempt to succeed.
They go out and hire a “bad” coach from a Florida school, which they know will have everyone in the sports world ridiculing them. But, they completely missed the fact that we were moving our coach to a better position and they were moving theirs to a worse one.
Also, does anyone else think Charlie Weiss might be Benjamin Button… He seems to be moving backward in his career, from hc at Notre Dame, to oc at the KC Chiefs, to oc at Florida, to hc at KU… pretty soon, as the fat melts away he’ll begin to appear more and more like Brad Pitt.
If my username were "Charlie Weis," then that would be my signature line.
Well done.
