I will have games up on my gametracker...
but will be on and off. Will do my best to get some batter by batter info on here, but if I am not around, someone else is certainly more than welcome to pick up the torch as Sleepy and CPC have done before.

I'm so excited that softball season is starting up again.
It’s easily my favorite sport besides men’s basketball and football.
the game before ours was 7 innings and high scoring...
so I could see where our start time MIGHT be somewhat delayed. I also know last night the gametracker from CBS did not seem to start right away.

Slightly OT, but since we're talking about the diamond..
How on EARTH did you end up a Pirates fan, Bill?
The short version:
- I grew up in Oklahoma and had the choice of either adopting the Dallas pro teams as mine or finding my own. Went with my own.
- I started gravitating toward players I liked. I liked Dan Marino, therefore I became a Dolphins fan. I liked Clyde Drexler and Terry Porter, therefore I became a Blazers fan. I started to really like Andy Van Slyke and Barry Bonds, therefore I became a Pirates fan.
- The rest is history. My sports “city,” so to speak, of the Dolphins, Pirates and Blazers has basically been, since the mid- to late-1980s (when I was old enough to start paying attention), Cleveland squared.

Muller started the game, but after 3 runs Hudson was brought in.
She was doing well until that 3-run bomb.
Muller pulled after the solo shot to lead off 2nd inning.
Hudson gave up the 3-run HR that made it 6-3.
The sleeper has awoken. . .awakened. . .he woke up.

It's good to have Rhea Taylor up right now.
If she gets on, that sets things up perfectly for Marston, Fleming, and Lee. They are capable of stringing together a lot of runs.

Former Tiger player Hunter Mense is a natural as a color man, in the booth this season as Tex Little’s wingman. Sounds like he’s been doing it for years, but this is his first game

Still raining in San Diego
doesn’t look like it’s going to let up anytime soon. And I don’t know of any on campus where they could move the game indoors (Mizzou moved a game into the Devine Pavilion last season).
