Little research I pulled together with the help of statsheet.com. Yes, the sample sizes are a bit skewed.. but interesting none-the-less.

Unless I missed something
Izzo should be on this list, since his compensation last year was $3 Million.
But even leaving that aside, let’s also look at when these fellows became head coaches for the first time:
Calipari: 1988 (UMass)
Donovan: 1994 (Marshall)
Self: 1993 (Oral Roberts)
Matta: 2000 (Butler)
Pitino: 1978 (Boston University)
Krzyzewski: 1975 (Army)
Rick Barnes: 1987 (George Mason)
Anderson: 2002 (UAB)
So yes, Anderson does not match the profile of some of these gentlemen based on accomplishments. His closest comparison, though, for length of career is Matta. At least to me.
But that’s just my at-a-glance look at things.

Thank you. I just used the list Forbes had put together.. which may be out of date.
And for Anderson’s sake.. i dont think he want’s me to include Tom Izzo because that would replace Rick Barnes. That would not help his cause.
