What do you mean I can't retire at 32?

Oh my God

that’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever read. And I follow coaching searches on Twitter, so that says something.

I will fess up.

I have absolutely no idea how this twitter thing works. I read that quickly and am completely lost.

I get the gist of what this gizz is trying to say but I’m all confused. So Gabbert has a nickname for English and they were joking with each other over tweets and this guy thinks it’s real.

This whole # @ crap is crazy.

no...

an arkansas fan sent Kimmie a post calling him a stuttering stanley….kimmie shot something back at that guy, Blaine retweeted it and supported kimmie calling the hogs fan an idiot.

Amazing level of ignorance.

For the Twignorant (see that? New word!) here's how the conversation went:

A user named Hogtrough (obviously an Arkansas fan) sent a Tweet directed at Englishscope24 (which is Kim English) saying “Hey @englishscope24 how is the speech impediment coming along? Stuttering Stanley!”

So the original tweet was an Arkansas fan taunting Kim English about his past problems with a speech impediment.

Kim English responded to that tweet, including the original message in his reply (as people would do in an email) and that new message was “Its going smooth as the 08 #CottonBowl” The # in front of CottonBowl makes it a “hash”, which on Twitter is a searchable item. Kind of a way of categorizing your tweets.

So his full message of “Its going smooth as the 08 #CottonBowl RT @Hogtrough Hey @englishscope24 how is the speech impediment coming along? Stuttering Stanley!” shows Kim sending out a Tweet, RT means Re-Tweet, directed at the original sender (@Hogtrough).

Then, shortly after that, Blaine Gabbert sent a tweet saying "@Englishscope24 that dude is an IDIOT ". He was directing his message at Kim English and the timeframe strongly suggests he was talking about the original message from the Arkansas fan.

Finally, Kim responds to Blaine with "@BlaineGabbert lol. Yea. “Stuttering Stanley” was a big hit in 3rd grade." This is a response directed at Blaine by Kimmie, saying the insult thrown at him by the Arkansas fan was of 3rd grade-level intelligence.

Once you know what all the symbols and things mean, it’s pretty easy to follow. But people who’ve never been exposed to it can certainly find it confusing, understandably. The thing is, if you don’t understand it you should KNOW that you don’t understand it and should NEVER presume to write a story about it since you have no idea what you’re talking about!

Can't lie

Twitter has greatly increased my respect for Kim English. That dude is quite the intellectual athlete.

Wow. That's just embarrassing for the author...

to people who understand how twitter works. The problem, as we’ve seen, is that not everyone does understand how it works. People who don’t understand how it works (like the author of the article) could judge Blaine based on what the author tells them then pass that article along in an email, on facebook, or in a tweet to other people to try and besmirch Blaine’s character.

I think it is harmful if the San Francisco Chronicle leaves that article posted at all. It should be taken down at the least, and if I had my way, an apology would be issued. I wish I had the email address of that writer’s editor.

I think we'll reconcile it by winning!

At the bottom

His email is at the bottom of the article. I emailed him with no response.

I shouldn't have, but I tweeted to him....
@zennie62 @######## – You published clear lies about @BlaineGabbert and you “take back nothing”? Horrible journalism. Learn to use twitter.

His response:

@######## if you think that you obviously can not read.

from looking at the guy's other posts..

..it seems like he is one of the “Everyone who likes Gabbert more than Cam Newton is a racist” crowd
