Kim Anderson " would not leave the Mules for the Tigers even if offered"
Editorial from Warrensburg's paper (from yesterday). Goes along with what I've heard, that he has no interest in trading in the life of Division II for the hectic, high-stress existence of a Division I coach.
If he's happy where he is, that's great for him. I wish people would stop throwing his name out there.

This sucks to a certain point.
I feel like we need another Norm prototype who could reach the Final Four. NOT saying Kin could do it, but this is where we get screwed. Not having coaches that come from the Norm coaching tree. Anyone have any insight as to why this isn’t the case?
This keeps coming up, and I have to ask...
what, precisely, is a Norm prototype?
I get that he’s tough, but as a coach I never got the impression that he was an adherent to any particular system. In his prime (late 70s-early 90s) he was about as orthodox as they come. His teams were never particularly fast or slow offensively. He didn’t run pure motion, nor was he a PnR guy. On defense, there really weren’t any wrinkles in his man-to-man. He rarely pressed if ever. Same with zones, rare and even then mostly to protect key guys from cheap fouls.
I’m not trying to bag on Norm at all. I’d say the same about Lute Olsen. That guy has similar god-like admiration among Arizona alums. And he also has no coaching tree. I think a big part of that is there really wasn’t anything to learn. (I don’t mean that as a pejorative.) Olsen generally had more talented squads than Norm, but they were similar in that they mostly tried to beat you on talent and execution.
Those kinds of guys seem like a dime a dozen.

except for the 700+ wins, right? those aren't dime a dozen.

i hope this is some kind of an attempt at a joke.
btw, you don’t have to break up your cuss words on here. this isn’t the espn message board, although that would explain a lot.

Part of me thinks Kim Anderson said this...
because he knows Mizzou won’t offer.
