PrintThe Tigers travel BACK down to Stillwater for a one-game affair against the Poke'ettes. In their first game (reviewed here), the Tigers cruised in a dominant, 5-0 win. Chelsea Thomas was amazing, facing only one batter over the minimum and K'ing 13 in the effort. On the offensive side, Princess Krebs went yard and Jenna Marston had two doubles and scored two runs.
With a win today, the Tigers will keep pace in their attempt to at least share the Big XII Regular Season Championship (and collect a trophy). They will still have two games this weekend against ISU, while UT has but one game remaining against Baylor. Should UT fall and the Tigers win out, they will own the title outright. If both teams win out, then I believe we will be Co-Champs

Partly cloudy and 74 in OKC right now. Weather shouldn't be a program unless the field
is too muddy from yesterday’s rain. Stillwater got about 1.5 inches, but hopefully field was covered.
Even in Mexico....kU SUCKS!
If both win out, it is likely we will be co-champs..
However technically we will probably lose the tie breaker because after head to head it is run differential and they are about 25 ahead of us at the moment so we would need some blowouts over the last 3 games.

I believe that tiebreakers are only used for seeding purposes in the conference tournament.
In every other sport anyways … they recognize co-champs.
Well they do go down that far to determine the automatic qualifier for the NCAA's
Now obviously we will be in, but they do still use the tiebreaker.

So basically, all we have to do to split the title is sweep one of the worst teams in the Big 12
while playing at home. That sounds too good to be true. We better take care of business big-time.

But they are not immune at home. Oklahoma was able to split with them, and Baylor is just as good as OU. Texas already won at Baylor, but you never can predict these type of late-season games.

Here are the top 25 teams in the NCAA RPI (in numerical order)...
1-5 Texas, Arizona State, Alabama, Florida, Georgia
6-10 Mizzou, California, Arizona, Oklahoma, Michigan
11-15 Washington, Baylor, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Oregon
16-20 Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, UCLA, Stanford
21-25 Houston, Kentucky, LSU, Nebraska, Louisville
You have to think that at least one of the regionals goes to the Northeast to a UMass or someone like that. Otherwise, how do you think the Regionals break out?

Regionals to UT, ASU, Bama (If they can handle it), UF, UGA, MU, Cal, AZ, OU, Mich, UW, Tenn, Ore, ND, UCLA, and UH.
If Bama can’t host, then that one will go to Louisville.

I can't see Bama hosting anything.
My sister is in school there, and from the way she talks about it, them hosting anything seems quite unlikely for a while. While campus is mostly fine, I can’t see them wanting to bring any amount of extra people in to town right now.
