Today's food-related rant: Here's a note to the good folks at McCormick. Your Montreal Steak Seasoning commercial (the "he's going with the long tongs!" one) is perfectly inoffensive in every way; in other words, it's not the Hilshire Farms "WHEN I SAY HILSHIRE..." commercials that have gotten me to swear off ever buying anything from Hilshire again after seeing them in every Food Network commercial break for the last six weeks. But ... shouldn't the steaks in your commercial actually look like appetizing steaks and not the cheapest, most un-steak-like meats ever put on television? Just a thought...

Maybe McCormick is saying
that with their seasonings, you’ll even enjoy eating these pieces of crap!
i think that would be a good commercial,
Start with a piece of leather, add McCormicks and poof …a perfect 72 oz thick and juicy steak.

That commercial
makes me think McCormicks supports the Spam-like-beef-substance-mold-for-a-steak community.
That, I will not be a part of.

love the Berkstresser article.
I am pulling for the kid. The rest of the article has a way to get a MIZZOU fan quite pumped up about the now and our future

What do fellow MU fans think of Billy Kennedy to aTm?
Is this a non-story for us since he’s just a Murray St coach? Big step down from (s)Turgeon?
Black and Gold!
Not sure how much of a step down he is
Murray State has been a stepping stone for a couple of coaches recently (Mark Gottfried parlayed the Murray State job into Alabama, and Mick Cronin was able to get the Cincy job), so really Kennedy might be a good pickup for A&M. It’s never known how a coach will do jumping from a mid-major to a major conference school, but he’s coming into a pretty decent situation. It’ll be apparent fairly quickly whether or not Kennedy is up to the task, but I think it’s about as good of a pickup as you can get with such short notice.
So, does Kennedy's hire
Mean that our current head coach ALREADY HAS A COACHING TREE? I’m liking this.
so ... dumb question
if the softball team, hypothetically, doing my best not to jinx it, makes it out of the regional, will it also host a super-regional?
Presumably, but I don't think it's guaranteed
Just 2 years ago, there was a top-8 team that won their regional and travelled to a lower seed to play their Super Regional.
- Washington travelled to Atlanta to play #14 Georgia Tech.
But, in 2010, 2008 and 2007 all Super Regionals were hosted by the top-8 teams, assuming they were still playing.
Rational Mizzou Talk, whether you like us or not.
But, a little more research shows that it was because of the lack of lights at UW's stadium
that kept them from hosting the Regional/Super Regional rounds in Seattle that season.

We have lights....and COWBELLS!

So here's a question
I went to the Saturday Texas game, stood the whole time. No chance at a seat. During midweek games, i walk up (I work down the hill), and lean on the right-center wall. Mostly because a lack of seats. With that placement of stadium, will Alden ever be able to permanently expand the seating there without major changes to the stadium, or will an entire new one be built to accommodate such an endeavor?
What do you mean I can't retire at 32?
I'm not an architect or an engineer, but I DID stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.
Next time you walk up there, walk the Celebration Dog. He likes to celebrate.
