No Big Deal...Just REGIONAL CHAMPS for the 4th straight year! M-I-Z!!!!
We start with softball today because ... well, duh. But do be sure to read about Jace Long and Mizzou Golf after the jump too. It was a helluva weekend for Mizzou spring sports. Meanwhile, keep the Joplin area in your thoughts as well. Donation link at the bottom of the post.

Cant help but chuckle at that article from kusports.com
not too many will care about the non-revenue sports, but it is telling of their athletic department as a whole
Compared that to Mizzou
Baseball – 7th of 9
Men’s BB – 6th of 12
Women’s BB – 10th of 12
Women’s XC – 11th of 12
Men’s XC – 11th of 12
FB – T1st in Divison (by record, T1 overall)
Men’s Golf – 5th of 12
Women’s Golf – 3rd of 12
Gymnastics – 4th of 4 (Though, we did have the All-Around champ)
Soccer – 6th of 11
Softball – 1st of 10
Women Swimming/Diving – 3rd of 6
Men’s Swimming/Diving – 3rd of 3
Women’s Tennis (no men’s team) – 8th of 12
Men’s Indoor Track – 9th of 12
Women’s Indoor Track – 12th of 12
Men’s Outdoor Track – 9th of 12
Women’s Outdoor Track – T11th of 12
Volleyball – 5th of 11
Wrestling – 2nd of 5

The nice part of this list is that
Gymnastics, Soccer, Volleyball and Baseball have all finished better in the Big12 in recent years. We have had a number of individual champions in many of the other sports (wrestling, track, etc.). Women’s bball is on the way up IMO as well. Not to mention, the AD has been profitable recently while making numerous facility upgrades for a large number of the sports listed.
All in all, we have an athletic department that we can be proud of and is still improving. Thanks for the list Andy—01.
Don't Haith the player, Haith the game.
And Tennis used to be horrid. Like, winning maybe 1 or 2 matches/year
the fact that there are 4 teams below us in the standings is a HUGE improvement from just a few years ago.

And, I think that's all the recognized Big 12 sports except for Men's Tennis
Texas is the only school that competes in as many Big 12 sports as Missouri.

Annoying You Since 1986
Thanks for thinking about the Joplin area.
It is bad here.
I'm hoping to get down there soon to help out.

Is it just me ...
… or does anybody else wish that David Garrard was easier to hate? He’s such a likeable guy that it makes it hard to root against him.
