And now something a bit silly

It's been a roller coaster of emotions the last week...panic Saturday at the loss to DePaul, elation at the utter destruction of DePaul, then Joplin.  The weather has started a waiting game of who's next (at the writing of that sentence, KC had won the Wednesday AM slot).  I figured it was time for a bit of silliness to talk about, at least until Saturday.

If you hadn't seen, the CDC released an update to their emergency preparedness page, in an effort to inform the populous about getting ready for any disaster.  It must have worked, because their servers crashed after it was made known.  So I got thinking, and looking, about what to do if the zombie apocalypse does come (cause it will!).

Let's set up our own "official" mid-mo readiness plan.  What 'rules' would you live by?  Where would you go, initially?  Further, where would you look to go for long-term survival (say, a year, cause you're doomed anyway).  What specific things would you HAVE to have?

For a point of reference, we're dealing with a zombie from AMC's "The Walking Dead".  These undead do not specifically feed on brains alone, nor do they feed only on humans.  They appear to not have any strength or agility beyond normal humans, but may be able to smell flesh.  Further, they also appear to be able to withstand considerable damage (the one from the first episode that lack legs and had its entrails sticking out did well for itself).  I tend not to believe this in its entirety, and assume the zombie to be effected by explosions and mass temperature changes (winter...which none of these outbreaks tend to happen in winter).

Remember, I'm trying to lighten the mood.
