am i to assume chelsea will be starting the first game?
if she’s not, meh, but if she is, well that’s obviously must-see tv.

I don't know if Chelsea will start tonight, but I'd think that Rhea Taylor will.
She was absolutely on fire in a tournament the USA just played up in Canada.
no chelsea. that stinks.

She'll pitch this tourney though, and all the games are on tv.
There’s tonight, plus I think 3 games tomorrow, plus a couple more on Saturday and a possible on Sunday. Not sure if those numbers are correct, but there are many games on tv this weekend.
Actually that's mostly wrong:
We play Australia at 7 CT tomorrow. Then vs. Canada at Noon CT, Japan at 8 CT on Saturday. Play Great Britain at 4 CT on Sunday, then we’ll play on Monday in either the 1st, 3rd, or 5th place game.
rhea records the first putout!!

i'm pretty sure
chelsea just fanned the side in the final inning on 9 pitches. they took the strikes, and swung at the balls. yes, it’s just the chex, but my goodness that lady is nasty.

Nope, because that stupid Taylor Hoagland from texas committed an error on the first AB.
I she did finish it off with 3 K’s and 9 strikes though. She came into the game with the tying run on deck, so it should count as a save, but then that stupid Rhea Taylor scored scored from second base on an infield single (!!!!!!) in the bottom of the 6th to make it a 5-run lead so I think that voided the save.
so in other words,
3 outs, 9 pitches, right?

Yeah, that's what happened.
It just wasn’t a perfect inning thanks to Connie Clark and her staff’s inability to teach Taylor Hoagland to field groundballs.
And according to SID Steve Keers, Chelsea does get the save even though
we did score an extra run in the bottom of the 6th.
yeah it doesn't get nullified if you score extra runs
it’s just the situation when you entered the game
