Brad Smith - 15 Million Dollars Richer
Scroll down a few stories and you will see Brad is headed north to Buffalo with a 4 year/15 million dollar contract. Congrats to him on a move many knew he wanted to make away from the Jets.

At the bottom of the same link
mentions that Aldon Smith has signed with the 49ers. TSF has some phone calls to make tomorrow :-)

Glad he got out of a place he didn't want to be in and all....
…but to be sent to football purgatory? Not a fan.
I dunno man...hockey?
Full Disclosure, I am a big Jets fan and am REALLY sorry to see him go
But it was not a well-kept secret (especially still around some Mizzou circles) that Brad wanted out of NYC real bad. Buffalo may be cold and not a good team, but I think he and his wife are very pleased to be making the move to somewhere which is a little more in line with their preferred style and speed of life.

Plus those new/old Bills uniforms are gorgeous.

given their qb situation up there,
maybe he’ll be switching positions again! haha. i feel bad for him, though.
"My friend! My friend!" You big crybaby. Go bury him in the yard before he stinks up the place.
Why? He agreed to go there
Story out of NY is that the Jets were waiting to work with him until they figure out if they could get Asomugha (sp). Brad decided he did not want to wait and he went elsewhere.

that's because he doesn't know what he's getting into, apparently.
either that or he’s all about the money. i can’t imagine why any player who wants to win would willingly go to buffalo. i know he’s not stupid, so he surely must know he won’t win there, so it must just be the money, which i assume nobody else would have given him. at least not that much. i just don’t understand, they are the worst franchise in the nfl including the detroit lions. i used to follow them as kind of a second team behind the packers, then before the season last year decided they weren’t worth any of my time, and then the packers won the super bowl that year. coincidence? i’ve gone from kind of being a follower to wishing they would just hurry up and move somewhere under some different ownership just so they wouldn’t be an embarrassment to the league. so many years of losing and so much apathy. i truly feel bad for the good citizens of buffalo, they deserve batter than the bills.

as a chiefs fan, I have to take some issue with this long history of the Bills losing.
They have been to 2 super bowls since the Chiefs won a playoff game. We may not have the ownership apathy (I don’t know much about the Bills front office) but we’ve certainly had the issues with winning in the playoffs.

And the kept the Chiefs out of the SB in 93
Besides, as long as the Cigarette Smoking Man is alive, the Buffalo Bills will never win the Super Bowl.
they haven't
been to the playoffs since the lions have. you just went to the playoffs last year. are you kidding?

oh, and have never
WON a super bowl, even with those 3 appearances. 3 straight sb losses will never be duplicated. snakebitten or just inept, i don’t know, but at least the chiefs have a trophy in their case.

he's joining a recieving core that includes Roscoe Parrish and Stevie Johnson
and C.J Spiller is the starting RB. Its not that bad up there. I say good for Brad.

roscoe parrish
is not an asset unless you’re talking about the return game, imo. and johnson is still green. spiller is a rookie, albeit a promising one. it’s going to be ugly in buffalo this year (as usual).

I feel bad for him because he has to go to the equivalent of NFL purgatory.
Does he prefer over NY? Apparently so. Still, I always feel bad for talent that ends up playing for teams that don’t have any real chance to make a splash. Although, him with Spiller in a Wildcat would be a pretty interesting thing to see.
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Isn’t as bad as people like to think. I’m not saying he’s a star, but he quietly put up some good numbers in Buffalo last year, and one more good receiver like Brad will certainly help him out.

The Bills SBNation blog is underwhelmed
Hopefully Brad can earn his money and more while in Football Purgatory.
Blaine Gabbert has been signed.

I would guess four. New CBA makes rookie signings a lot easier.
