Just spoke w Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin, who said he's been cleared to play finally after months of tests for Lymphoma, type of cancer
Maclin told me final test came back today after he got a scare on his bday May 11th. Had lymph nodes removed last week
Told me he's totally fine and was a virus that has left his body and expects to return once he recovers from last week's procedure.
A series of Tweets from journalist-slash-Subway aficionado Jay Glazer. The ending to this story is as happy as the beginning and middle were scary. Glad you're OK, J-Mac.

Poor sentence structure in that last tweet
I know 140 characters limits the way we’d LIKE to write, but the way I read it the first time, the virus will return once he recovers from last week’s procedure.
Karma Thread....ENGAGE
Oddly enough if you read it fast it almost says that JMac expects the virus to return soon, not that he expects to return to the field soon.

The only measure of true success in the NFL is the Vince Lombardi trophy. Anything less is a rationalization.

Whooo!
Is it wrong to hope that Maclin isn’t quite up to football speed and has a bad game Week 1 in St. Louis, only to get in his groove and have a Pro Bowl year from Week 2 and on?
Yes...because how often is he going to get to play in front of his home town?

Not fantasy problems, it's real football problems.
I’m a die-hard Rams fan and that game could be huge in deciding play-off seeding if the Eagles and Rams end up having the same record at the end of the year. I’ll just do what I did last year when the Rams played the Falcons in a pivotal game; root for the Rams to win but hope the Mizzou players do well.
Thankfully you can put your mind at ease
The Eagles and the Rams will not have one game separating them in the standings.

Such great news.
My mother has been through Lymphoma twice. No bueno.
Have a great season J-Mac.
I think we'll reconcile it by winning!

Karma slowly kicking in...?
Glad you’re better J-Mac, now tear it up this season. Except against Dallas.

Haha, you either love 'em or hate 'em...
I’ve never met someone who’s indifferent to the Cowboys.
